Live 5/10 Weird Spot: 2-Pair Facing a Lot of Heat
$1000 eff. I have 9c8c in BB. Very limpy table, although that unfortunately is not translating into much fishdom postflop. My image is tight bordering on nitty. V limps in UTG+1 and 2 other geniuses limp behind and I happily check.
Flop: Ac9h8d Pot 40 I lead 40, only V calls.
Turn: Jh Pot 120 I bet 80, V makes it 200, I call.
River: Qs Pot 520 I check, V tanks forever (at least 20 secs, that's right, after I checked to him) and finally bets out 300
V is a young guy, never seen him before, so certainly not a reg. Loves to limp preflop and does it often. Overall tightens up a ton postflop. Preflop looseness is not translating into postflop looseness. Although I have seen him successfully bluff in position and show in a small 4-way limped pot. T7 is likely not in his range. QT may be but Q on the river is making it less likely.
What do we do and what do you think of my turn call?
