Lets say we open BTN, villan calls BB. Board is Td9d4h and we can C-Bet, but we also want to have some sort of checking back range with TP/MP type of hands.

How would you play the following combos ? How does backdoor draws influence the action you choose.

a) AT-QT ; Th6h ; JTo vs JdTo

b) A9o ; A9hh ; 97o ; 9o7d ; 98hh

c) AK-AJdd ; Axdd ; 4xdd

d) AK-AJhh ; AJ-AKo with a diamond

Post | Citi posted in NLHE: River sizing with flush

Board: Flop Jd9h6d, Turn 3d, River Td

SBvsBB, 6max. SB is first to act.

SB range: {15% nut flush, 25% 9d-Kd high flush, 20% air and 20% hands you check back}

BB range: {10% nut flush, 30% 9d-Kd high flush, 30% lower flushes, 30% TP+ noflush hands}

What bet size is optimal in GTO perspective ?

What bet size you think is the best as the exploitative play ?

Unless my crEV calculations are wrong:

EV of 0.5 PSB > EV of 1 PSB > EV of 1.5PSB

Ps. Why did you choose 1.5PSB ?

Post | Citi posted in NLHE: River bet size where nuts split pot

SBvsBB, 6max. SB is first to act.

Board: Flop T22rb, Turn Ao, River 2o

SB range: 40% Ax, 20% MP, 40% air.

BB range: 40% Ax, 40% MP, 20% air.

How much SB should bet to maximize his EV if BB defend enough, so SB bluffs break even ?

The problem is that only 25-30% of our range can be happily bet this board (sets, KK-AA, JT, AQ, gutshots). Even if we add some weaker Qx, part of MP type hands and Axs with backdoor flushes (and those hands have terrible equity vs opponent's range) we can only cbet the flop 35-40%. And when we don't bet the flop it's difficult to come up with any reasonable check-defending range. My simulations shows that I end up folding 75-80% of my flop checking range. Also, it's not a solution to cbet wider on the flop, since opponent does fold only around 30-35%.

So back to my question. If we check-fold this flop so much, that our opponent should bet any two every time. Does it become more profitable to check most part of our value range and divide our range into check-calling / check-raising ranges. It's easy to create range at this board that would look something like 10% cbeting range, then after we check we check-raise 20% and check-call 20%.

Trying to decide what would be the most profitable line with nuts on such boards as Q93rb.

Lets say we are at anonymous table of 2/4. We open UTG and CO calls. What you guys think is the best line with QQ, 99, AA-KK, AQ, KQ ?
