I have created a discord for 2nl-25nl cashgame players (though those higher can certainly join) to share hand histories, study, and sweat each other!

Thanks for going through heads-up spots that are a bit tricky. I find I have a way higher win rate in full ring but sometimes the only action is heads-up, do you have any tricks for adjusting to small stakes plo HU?

Hey Paul, great video, I think 2 tabling allows you to explain every spot clearly and I think this was a particularly interesting video because I struggle with aces a lot of the time. I think your thought process is cogent and easy to replicate. Cheers!

Hey Hunter,
I'm an online PLO player looking to transition to live PLO, what advice do you have for transitioning to a setting where being super deep is common? I'm used to multiway spots, but the straddling and re-straddling have me confused as well so I understand why so many players in the game VPIP passively a bit too much. I don't quite get why the K clubs is worse than the J clubs because it seems very plausible that he checked back a naked K high flush draw then looks to bet turn. Cheers though.

Hey Emty,
Do you accept students for under PLO50? Cheers.

You say that the A54 two-tone is a range bet board but then change your mind because of the wheel, but isn't the two-tone nature of the board also give your opponent's range a lot more equity? Additionally, what is a good counter-exploit against people c-betting too wide, is it to let them hang themselves on later streets or to re-raise aggressively?
Also find the short-stackers in my games super annoying because I don't always keep track of villain's stack. Great video as per usual and really enjoy the split between the liveplay session and the review of interesting hands at the end.

Hey Richard, on the AQQ two clubs flop, don't you want villain to catch up, either to make a weaker full house or think his flush might be good? Doesn't potting turn make him likely to fold most of his flushes and weak trips which you might be able to get value from later? Or should we look to trap AA or QQ? Otherwise, great video, you do a great job of explaining your thought processes and ability to handread opponents well.
Cheers.

Definitely cosign this review, it's a good first step that is not too expensive. He spends a lot of time reviewing hands as well in the second half of the book.

One of the issues betting 100% on the flop in game will lead you to have a lot of air or bottom pair and being in a tricky spot on the river. I generally like betting range in only a few spots (A high or king high disconnected flops) and using two bet sizings most of the time on turn and river because the EV loss is not substantial enough to outweigh the loss of EV of properly balancing several sizings.

I think it's a bit tough because the button can play perfectly: if he has a pair and a draw or two pair+draw he calls and if he has like KKQx or something he folds. Also, I think backdoors are like 3 outs, and yours are all to the nuts which is good.

Upswing Poker offers an RFI range with worst possible starting hands. Would start there for RFI then think about what hands make sense as 3bets/4bets/5bets.

Is anyone else interested in starting a poker study group? I'm a 10 NL grinder on ACR who is beating the games solidly without rakeback.

Hello Runitonce, after posting in a thread about what to study, I received advice to post my database. Here it is. Are there any obvious leaks here? Additionally, are there any other stats I should be including? Thanks for reviewing.

Hello, I'm a roughly breakeven 12 NL player and have an Elite subscription here. What is the best way to study and what spots should I be studying?

Usually playing quite a bit deeper than 100bb. Squeezes rarely occur I would say. I would agree that fold equity is almost non-existent in the games I play in.

Should we play 3bet or fold from the big blind facing raises of 5x+? Or should we have a mixed strategy that splits between calling and raising? What hands should we 3bet or fold, and what hands should we put into the call line and the 3bet line for the mixed strategy?

Facing 5x+ raises, should we have a calling range with any hands in the small blind? Should we play 3bet or fold? What range of hands should be put into both lines?

How should one deal with large preflop raise sizes in live games. Often times, villain will raise to 6-7.5x the big blind and I'm not used to dealing with that. What is the appropriate counter to this strategy?
