Now that I have finished my degree, I want to get back into playing poker seriously. I find many of the videos on training sites annoying, as they often don't provide good theoretical information and instead opt for vague suggestions. As such I think that to achieve this level of understanding I am going to have to spend a lot of time working things out for myself, but I certainly do not have enough knowledge to simply do this without some help. This help could be in the form of recommendations to videos that give relevant information; equations; theoretical concepts; etc. In return for any help given, I will attempt to summarise the topic and the information obtained in a single document so that the information will not be lost amongst the thread and allow the information to be easily assessable. Hopefully, this will allow us all to gain from shared knowledge.

As NLHE is a large game, I will focus on a specific larger question at a time (with smaller relevant sub-questions). The first question is:

How should you construct your flop range as the pre-flop raiser out of position?

To achieve an answer we will limit variables and as such stacks will be assumed to be 100bb and opening ranges will be used from poker snowie's PreflopAdvisor (unless a more satisfactory opening strategy can be recommended).

It seems obvious, although I may be wrong, that your c-betting range should be largely dependent on how hero's and villain's preflop ranges interacts with the flop. However, how would you mathematically go about calculating what your c-bet percentage should be?
