You're right. This has to be a fold 99% of time. Since posting I have tried coming up w/ bluffing range and only real hands are missed spade draws and complete air. Plus most spade draws are likely combo draws which hit this river. This range isn't enough to make up for his value range. Thank you for this input and making me think more critically about the ranges. In hand I tanked for a couple minutes and something about how confidently he was sitting made me call and he showed As7c.

Thank you for reply. This player has shown he likes to bluff and was a very weak player. I don't think this particular player would value bet anything worse than a straight . However, I agree this has to be a fold vs any decent/competent player

Ok! I editted the original post adding more info on Villian. Thank you for your input! You're right I don't think he would fold a 6. And I believe he would definitely check back a set on river or two pair. Being that he is such a weak player maybe it is just a fold since he would still value bet any 6.

First post guys bare with me please. Playing live 1/2 cg at local casino. 7 handed

Utg limp, utg+1 raise $10, MP calls $10, folds to me in SB I look down at 10d10c I call 10, utg calls 10

  • 4 way flop pot = 42
    Flop 98dd3s
Hero check, followed by 3 checks.

Villain - Player in last position - very weak player, would probably be a fish at 10NL online. Has shown he loves to bet. He's on his third buy in. He has shown he likes to bluff/buy pots when players checks. He donked a buy in to me already donk leading flop of q103r and then check raising all in on turn Ax and when I called instantly said good call and basically mucked his hand - I had QQ

-4 way pot =42
Turn 5s
Hero bets 15, 2 folds, villian raises to 45, I call

Only value hand I put him on was 55, 67s. He would have bet j10 or a flush draw on flop. Maybe checks 67.

-2 way pot =132
River 7d
hero checks, villian bets 65, hero ?

Here is where my question comes up. Now he can only effective value bet a flush or j10 and he shouldn't show up w/ either ever. So I was debating raising as bluff to get 55 or any two pair to fold or calling because I think his bet just has to bet a bluff given his line. He had $150 behind.

I block half the combos of j10 and I have a diamond in my hand so I felt like this was the best possible hand to raise the river with as a bluff.

Any additional input on the hand would be great thanks!

I think your comments are spot on w/ split or bluff. I don't expect many bluffs into 2 players after two calls on flop tho. Plus he 3bet UTG. I expect he showed you AA. Difficult spot tho

What worst hands do you expect to call? Is qq-aa ever folding turn? I like c/c, c/c, decide on rivers. On blanks against a jam I would fold.

I actually like this play. Your range looks so strong. KK 5 bets preflop, QQ, 99, 66, J10 spades gets it in on flop. On turn only calling hands are KQ, j10. Well done. NH
