Hello Patrick, how did you only have the program use 1 bet sizing on the flop for different textures. For example the 1/3 is primarily used on paired and that was the only option available. while on some higher connected boards the only option allowed was 1/2pot. Im assuming when you ran your sim you included the multiple flop sizings, just wondering how the program gets it to only use one sizing. I think the one flop sizing per textures is highly beneficial.

Interested in what your doing in 3b pots oop. Mainly Pot/27%/check? I noticed most players in midstakes don't have the pot as part of their strategy. Is the pot mainly something higher stakes players are using or is it just preference over the 2/3 size?

Helpful video i beat 50zoom over a decent sample. Moved up to triangulum and went up 20 buyins in the first 2 days. Moved from 2 tables to 4 and over the last 60k hands went down 40buyins. A pretty brutal but normal swing, I see a lot less variance in my game 2 zooming as opposed to 4 but I worry my long term win rate will be too low if i continue to 2 zoom.

Any opinions on 4bet or fold oop vs 3bets in high rake games? Particularly vs regulars where postflop edges may be lower. good vid.

Like these videos and live play. An idea would be to dive into solvers and how you deviate your strategy based on nodelocking in PIO for example; I always enjoy comments on how you are changing your strategy because of playerpool reads.

Im very interested to see if the turn would be a good spot to overbet here. Would love to know what people think. I suppose sometimes it wouldnt since we need to be repping a more polar range and its hard to do that once we check flop?

In theory id say this is a call for reasons stated above. However at 2NL you have to adapt to the playerpool. Do you feel a 2NL player is capable of check raising a bluff here? If i was in your shoes im snap folding and not feeling bad here at all. Your reasoning is good, weaker players at 2NL love calling offsuit broadways and connectors from BTN and SB. Can get called by all suited and offsuit combos of kt, qt, jt, 9t. Also get called by lower pocket pairs because 2NL players think very linear, "he cant have an ace here since he would bet that on the flop, he is bluffing " would be there thought process. Also this is at the bottom of your value betting range on river, i suppose you could also be value betting on river qq jj kk if you were to check back turn and he checks river.

Hey guys first post here. I have been an essential member since around January I believe and this website has helped a lot. I have a question about my bankroll. I have been a winning player at 5NL and 10NL for around a month and a half know, around 80k hands at 5NL ( I have 4.7/100 bb W.R. not including rakeback) and about 20k at 10NL (in the past 1-2 months). My bankroll is at 200USD and I feel I am pretty comfortable with my skillset and I can move up in stakes. While my winrate is lowish over the large sample size, the majority of my losses have come from the first 10k hands where I did not adapt to the playerpool correctly and went on a 8 buying downswing. I have 3 options that I am considering:

Point - I have 250USD that I am looking to invest in poker, here are my 3 suggestions.

  1. Deposit and take a shot at a higher stake
  2. Purchase PIOsolver and study; don't deposit more money,
  3. Use the money toward coaching; don't deposit more money.

I am stuck between these 3 options and I am curious what the community thinks is the best option.

Information - Poker is not my main income. I am a student on internship so the 250USD is not a big deal for me. I play 3k hands a day so I dedicate around 3-4 hours per day to poker at the start of July.

At 9:00 on the right table, why would you call the turn bet if your going to check fold the river, I feel he will bet almost always on that river right? I could be wrong, wondering what the reasoning is behind this.
