Mixed games videos 2 days in a row? Exquisite joy!
"Improved down" more commonly referred to as "reducing"
Those equities at 25:55 are completely insane but how the hand plays out is bonkers. Note for all of the outs Ben has to complete his hand (9 spades, 4 2's, 4 6's) 16 of them are live against 5 opponents accounting for 25 cards or nearly half the deck! On 6th street he has 4 opponents left and they ALL hit one of his above outs. Regardless he still maintains 41% equity on 6th 5 ways with only the 4th best hand at the time. Shows you how important live cards and big draws are.

I thought the decisions I got right were fairly easy. The 2 I missed (particularly folding with the 5569 hand -- only 2 points?) I don't think are as bad as you seem to think.
Future videos: Draw games turn/2nd draw decisions in close spots particularly for 2-7, badeucey, and badacey. A-5 and straight badugi just don't seem to be played as much as those 3.

Great content and format. Any mixed games, but I'd prefer any of the draw games on the 2nd draw.
Also, how many points do I get for saying I'd fold but if Hennigan called then calling has to be correct?

Enjoyed the short handed and HU mix of games with good player reads and analysis of hands. More of this for the mixed games players amongst us at RIO please -- this was perfect!

Great to see some Big O content and B1/badacey again on RIO! Please comment on how much wider your range is in these high ante games and to what degree you should expand your range based on position. Is your wider range dependent much additionally on which game you're playing?

"Improving down" (39:10) also known as "reducing" your tri. These Doyle's game cash mixed are great for demonstrating badugi errors (Sklar and Alberto made a bunch as I recall).

Re: poker mental games and meta section... this reminded me of one of my favorite lines from Doyle when he had made an adjustment at a WPT event to Patrick Antonius' continued aggression 3 handed and Brunson called an all-in with 33 vs A2. "You say 'how can I make that call?'; how can you make that bet! We're playing poker, not solitaire." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEVbzWbYQ-Q

Great choice of spots to review with important concepts. FYI, for razz hands in PPT you don't have to list the suits.

I liked this subject matter and format. Anytime I can learn what world class players are doing to focus and be in the right headspace to play poker better is invaluable. I also like your other videos as well and look forward to whatever content you create at RIO.

Turn situations in Badeucey and Badacey please! When to peel/fold and what to discard in those games on the turn would be helpful.

Very useful examples and situations vs common types of opponents. The nuance of cbet or not with just the FD vs also having the BDFD is important. Thanks.

Really helpful analysis. Thanks for the detailed explanations in some of these close and important spots.

I hope your family situation is ok now! On a less important matter, I can't wait to see more of your videos and would like to reiterate my hope that you'll include some mixed games content. You'd be a great benefit to the community.

I generally love your videos and find them extremely analytical and helpful to my game. The first 12 minutes or so of this one though seems more observational and of entertainment value than instructional. You didn't really teach as much as you do normally with commenting over this video. I think the video overall could have probably been improved with pausing the action and putting some of the closer spots into Vision or Monker and then discussing the recommendations from that. Also addressing situational nuances between MTT and cash games would have been more helpful (stack preservation, ICM) especially when there is a much shorter stack 3 handed for example.

Love the format.
Makes a lot of sense that those deuce danglers hurt your playability so much. You're effectively giving up 40% of your combos.

Good format. Appreciated the differences noted for certain spots in a cash game vs MTT.

Great to see some carnival game content. Enjoyed the leak finder aspect of this review.
17:42 opponent has an 86 badugi not a 98

Really appreciate this. As you pointed out there is a dearth of PLO MTT content and the nuances of excelling in a tournament vs a cash game are critical to master. I'd love to see more of this for early, middle, and later stages of play in an MTT.
Would also be fantastic if you're able to do any content with mixed games MTT. Iteopepe does some but it'd be great to hear your thoughts as well.

More mixed games content please -- anyway you can contribute would be appreciated!

Funniest ending to a video ever possibly... definitely the best 1 liner.

Bet turn and snow better than D2 with these particular blockers?
Jan. 31, 2024 | 3:27 a.m.
Around the 10:00 mark on the Q323 board you talk of having more 2 pair hands on the turn. Why is that relevant when the board is paired? KK and AA are (obv) also 2 pair hands at that point. Does the solver favor raising a hand like your Q945 here more when you have a FD blocker or does it prefer to unblock the FD?

What adjustments are you making in mystery vs regular bounty MTT? Since there's no bounty until ITM, early stages minimal change I would think. Are mystery bounties here given at time of knocking player out or is remaining mystery bounty pool unknown until after the tournament ends?

It's been too long since your last video. Welcome back. What are the types of hands you are playing at a higher ante structure but cutting out of your range in this lower ante structure?

There was an issue where @Emty somehow generated a new flop after discussing the strategy for a different flop. The new (A44) flop is generated at 17:23 time stamp but the original 942 rainbow board is what he considers when choosing his solution (bet pot for range). With the new flop of A44 of course betting small or checking would be preferred since we are the 4 bettor in the Vision hand example. Didn't see this cleared up elsewhere so thought I'd mention it here.

Great analysis and very helpful for someone learning the game with a wide range of situations discussed. More like this. Can you give a quick run down in comments re: opening ranges from each position 6 handed for deeper stacks, 20BB, and 10BB situations? Is 3-3.5x opening size appropriate for all stack depths in a tournament for 2-7 NL?
42:10 Badacey HU opp folds pre to your PFR As4c5d8h Qd
If called, HU I assume you keep the 8h.
What if it's 3 way with no further bets pre and you are OOP? What if it's 3 way and you are in the middle and the first person draws 2?
Great mixed content and nice use of the troutulator. With the (98)762 hand , villain does slightly better drawing 1 and discarding a 9 after the first draw/patting an 8 (but keeping the 9 after the 2nd draw) at 36.7% equity.
