Did you refuse to make a video with GameTheory rio member, or or it was a Rio staff decision?

I don't have a clue about what he said, I just wanted to honor your first video with your own meme.

Variance is huge in 10K hands of PLO HU. This can be devastating if the politician win.

No Phil's essential video this month?

Sept. 30, 2013 | 9:31 p.m.

Bump.

Is he still playing poker? He is a very good video maker.

Sept. 18, 2013 | 6:59 p.m.

Thank you guys! I didn't post reads or more stats because I have only 60 hand on villain and this was our first hand together (it's zoom).

Sept. 18, 2013 | 5:18 a.m.

Thank you plop!

I really try to keep things simple, that's why I would usually 3b/call in a spot like this. But this time I tried to explore villains high raise cbet stat.

It's hard for me to fold in position one of the best hands in my range when villain can have so many draws.

Sept. 18, 2013 | 5:11 a.m.

Thank you for the answer CC!

15/12 is a standard reg in fullring and 16% raise flop cbet is not low. So I am not sure if he is she. Maybe a shemale?

If he/she is always bombing the turn, he will put some money in bad, because with a 16% cr range, he probably has a lot of draws that lose value with only one street to come.

Isn't folding on the flop too weak?

Hand History | TheNine posted in NLHE: NL25 FR Zoom: KK raised on low flop

BB: $29.02
UTG: $46.62
UTG1: $24.06
UTG2: $67.04
LJ: $20.85
HJ: $25.91
CO: $23.65
Villain is tagish reg 15/12 AF 2 AFq 40
8% 3b vs steal
79% fold bb to steal
16% raise flop cbet

He sees me as aggro, he caught me in a couple spots when I was bluffing and he had nuts.
Preflop ($0.35) (9 Players)
Hero was dealt K K
UTG folds, UTG1 folds, UTG2 folds, LJ folds, HJ folds, CO folds, Hero raises to $0.75, SB folds, BB calls $0.50
Flop ($1.60) 8 4 7 (2 Players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1, BB raises to $3, Hero calls $2
I think he folds 44 pf and don't have many low cards because of his high fold to steal. So I think he has a lot of air in his range, just abusing the fact that this a tough board to fight a raise. So I decided to call to let him keep firing, because 3betting he could jam his good hands and fold his air. But baybe I should have used my image to just 3b/call hoping he would spew.
Turn ($7.60) 8 4 7 A (2 Players)
BB bets $4.80, Hero calls $4.80
The value of my hand decrease a lot with an ace on the board, but it's a card that he will be continuing to fire if he has nothing.
River ($17.20) 8 4 7 A 2 (2 Players)
BB bets $10.30
He bet pretty fast, so I thought I was beat. But I don't want to change my plan. Will the turn call be bad if a fold here? This is the perfect blank, if I am not happy about calling here, I will be uncomfortable in all rivers.

Sept. 16, 2013 | 9:27 p.m.

BN: $35.44 (Hero)
SB: $10.51
BB: $38.10
UTG: $9.38
UTG1: $24.30
UTG2: $25
LJ: $19.16
HJ: $25
CO: $23.70
UTG2 is a nit reg 13/9
BB is 22/29 (60 hands)
Preflop ($0.35) (9 Players)
Hero was dealt J J
UTG folds, UTG1 folds, UTG2 raises to $1, LJ folds, HJ folds, CO folds, Hero calls $1, SB folds, BB calls $0.75
Flat JJ is standard vs a nit.
Flop ($3.10) 7 3 T (3 Players)
BB checks, UTG2 checks, Hero bets $1.50, BB raises to $3.75, UTG2 folds, Hero calls $2.25
Maybe I should bet more because BB looks fishy, but the board is so dry that a smaller bet can be better. When he raised, I looked his Raise Flop stats and it was 33% (1/3) and his AF and AFq was also high. So I think he should have Tx and enough semi-bluffs to make this a call.
Turn ($10.60) 7 3 T 9 (2 Players)
BB checks, Hero bets $6.50, BB calls $6.50
Here I thought that he could still has Txs and pair+draw and overcard with good equity. So I bet to get value and protect my equity. I wasn's afraid of a crai because it's pretty rare to be checkraised flop and turn and my range looks strong enough to make him think I will not fold.
River ($23.60) 7 3 T 9 8 (2 Players)
BB bets $26.85, and is all in, Hero folds
As he checkcalled turn, his only air hand now is KQ (if he can have that) and it's pretty unlike that a weaker player will transform a made hand into a bluff in this spot. So, if he only has hands like J9, QJ, TJ and random flushes I don't have equity to call.
Final Pot
BB wins $22.54

Well, you could turn an old Elite video into Essential. There are great ones like "When Optimal Isn't Game Theory Optimal - 5/10nl" that would fit pretty well into Essentials.

I think he has more hands that beat me than hands that I beat, even with the pot odds, I think this is a fold. But I ended up calling :p

July 4, 2013 | 5:30 a.m.

As villain is not full stack, I thought he was bad enough to not even think about my range, he could just think "my draw missed, I will bluff" or "hmm QJ looks good now, I will bet!" :D
But you are right, if he is any good, he would be probably betting here for value.
