Really enjoyed the commentary from multiple players even on the hands they aren't involved in. Especially some of the differing views, ie how often the AQ vs 55 hand should be bluffed if at all on the K river.

Sauce you are a superstar! All your videos are well liked! I understand what you mean however that my ideas are not representative and that my opinion probably doesn't matter.

I also want to express how incredibly grateful I am for your production of the content all these years. You have been one of my biggest influence over my poker career up there with Will Tipton and few other guys! I am sorry for a certain tone in my original post, I guess I was just a bit disappointed of the static nature of your videos we've been seeing over last year or so(live play ones).

Ben, my concern isn't if this framework is valid to beat the HSNL. Though I'd like to see more max exploiting being done because these 500z games are playing very far from NL5k.
My main concern is the value to the viewers these live play videos provide. In the midst of action very often you mention which hand is indifferent, rarely mentioning why or if you do it rarely is an in-depth explanation(due to the nature of limited time). As I said earlier, as someone who watched almost every single one of your videos I believe there would be more value to your viewers if you focused on concept/theory videos with CREV/Solver or perhaps philosophical videos about what's it like to be a poker player in the modern world.
I remember when you made a video where you decided to focus on playing 3b or fold strategies, live play video with specific goal of execucting particular type of strategy GTO or exploitative. That was lovely to see.

Now we just watch a retired pro who tries to estimate GTO strategies in real time, yes it's fun because it's you commentating poker! But this should be a training site with a purpose of educating it's viewers.

In your liveplay videos I find very little insights anymore, maybe it's time to focus on concept based videos(they have been some of your best work, toy game series, Triple Threat, etc). I'd love to see more psychology/philosophy based theory videos from you(triple threat for example) or your take on 'how to be a poker player(series Lefort did). Videos of that kind would be much more enjoyable to your viewers than bunch of mixing at 500z. Especially given your background as philosophy major.

If I wanted to see what hands are indifferent I'd rather work on PIO than watch your live-play videos. I merely consider these entertainment at this point. It would be more interesting to watch you play 200 zoom than 500 zoom where you at least would be forced to go for hard exploits(like you did in this video vs recs). Or maybe make some HUNL videos where the shifts from equilibrium are more grand.

March 28, 2020 | 1:08 p.m.

Why aren't you going for hard exploits? You have mentioned that you played around 50k hands here already, but a lot of spots you just choose to play your approximation of GTO(saying that your hand is a mix, means you assume opponent is doing what he should to make you indifferent). Is that because you don't know opponents tendencies in such spots to deviate? Or you don't want to show full exploits in the videos? Maybe it's time to trust your gut more after 50k hands, surely players at this limit are at a disadvantage when they play Sauce, however rusty he is.

On the 855 board @20:45 OTT - It's a nice spot for a lead right? Should be a pretty big equity shift in terms of nutcombos. Haven't checked Pio though

So 6x in the video is in reality 5x ?

EluSiVeMark What's the reason to not add IP hands like A9s-A2s, QTs, KTs, K9s, etc? Seems like an exceptionally tight range for BTN flat vs UTG.

Great Video , many interesting spots, I like this format + the pio analysis KQ hand + explo/pool adjustments!

@4:40 TT hand
On the river you said you would like to pick a smaller sizing instead of the ~75% sizing you chose in the session.

On that runout we will have much more straights & two pair plus. So in theory that should increase our betsizes if we have enough bluffs to support our valuecombos. Feels to me like this hand mainly wants to go for a big sizing if we throw it in PIO, if I got time the next days I will do.

Are you trying to bet smaller to get called more often and therefore gain more explo EV with the given hand?

the range you're changing click on "fixed"
the other ranges that you are not changing click "proportional"

I've been following your videos the last couple years and just wanna say thank you. I've been moving up from nl25 to nl700 during this time. They definitely had an impact on my game and especially some theory videos made me understand important concepts of the game.

It's always nice to watch your videos and I hope you'll keep the passion for the great game of 2 card POT limit omaha. :)

No glory without work... here comes my question haha, sorry for off topic:

I have trouble in postflop defending spots, I would say it's my biggest weakness. I'm still way too much of a feeling player in these spots. What would be your approach of getting better at these spots in an efficient way?

Especially on the river.
VS nits it's easy we start to overfold, vs overbluffy dudes it's also easy, we start to call all good bluffcatchers. But how do I approach a spot on the river if I think my opponent is mostly close to the right bluff frequency leaning more towards slightly underbluffing.

so far I try to get better by using Pio and nodelock the Rivers a bit. But don't know if that's the way to go.

July 3, 2019 | 8:48 a.m.

I had the same experience, games got super rigged and I played on all the major apps. And bots are not a myth, i know 100% of a botring because some of them got caught, they all had almost identical stats.

May 30, 2019 | 2:12 a.m.

@4:00 AK shove in PvBC spot. Let's say you knew villain was overfolding by at least 10% vs overbet jam on the river. Would you start betting your value hands with a smaller sizing, and just jamming bluffs?

June 15, 2018 | 12:26 p.m.

@26:00 prot0 vs limitless you forget to mention, that in BBvBTN spot this turn will create PvBC dynamic that makes prot0 want to have overbetting range, since he uses smaller sizing, we could probably guess that he splits his range into two bet sizings, smaller one for his weaker Ax, mixed in with some traps AA, etc. How does that affect his value range on this river?

@34:00 Linus vs prot0 you mention that trapping OTR with PSB left is not so important because you can just call your bluff-catchers(like AQ, AJ etc)? Could you elaborate more on the relationship of SPR OTR in this spot, and the strength of our checking range? Should Linus call optimally here?

April 2, 2018 | 11:16 a.m.

I ran the spot with very wide limped ranges. With similar sizings and you were right, GTO is not concerned with meeting MDF here.
In my sim: OTR we bet 1/3rd with any pair+. And this is the range explorer to vizualize checking range: https://gyazo.com/ea3d39783cd78bc7d81e0326d62d45d2.

After checking this river PIO only defends 30% of the time vs 3/4th bet sizing. Could help me understand the theory of this spot? And why we don't use naive bluff-catching freq(1-A) here?

March 21, 2018 | 10:02 a.m.

@27:30 on 66KK7
Could elaborate more why are you so comfortable to not hit MDF here?

@BenSulsky, why do you think flop C-Bet freq increased? If later street possibilities include over bet, wouldn't it mean that our C-Bet freq would decrease, because we know this is how polar vs bluff-catcher game works, bluff-catching player can increase his EV by showing up with some traps, since we know opponent is gonna put a lot of money with big bets, when we check.

March 5, 2018 | 10:38 a.m.

Curios about KQ hand at 29m where you lead river with trips in 3BP. After hand you said you wouldn't do this against someone you considered good. Does that mean you would never lead river vs good player, or just not for that size. I think the lead can be good, that card should improve your range more than his, my biggest concern is what can we use to bluff here. Maybe if the flush doesn't complete it could be good with 7cXc or QJcc type hand. I just think with my ranges I would probably get to that river and worst hand I could have would maybe be weak Ax.

March 3, 2018 | 6:37 p.m.

Hi sauce, why not just get upgrade your PC to show more accurate sims? You could even rent a server, I do full sims with 3 sizings in this spot in 5minutes. Sims like these as you correctly mentioned will be skewed, because of appropriate strategic options are not given to OOP player, even tho you are aware of it it doesn't change the fact, that sometimes results gonna change drastically, especially in less common lines like this.
Overall, a great vid like always you did good job of showing how this spot works at fundamental level, and even went on to talk about exploitative adjustments and player reads. Please keep it up Sauce123!

P.S Just curious, how many sims you do on weekely basis for PLO/NL?
