@24:00 what are your thoughts on a limping range in the J9hh spot?

at 3:30ish when you x/r 99 on 9T2 4hh, are you really bluffing there like ever? and what hands would you choose to bluff?

Thanks

right, i'm just going from what i've taken from coaching sessions regarding ft defending ranges so i guess it's something i'll have to explore more

Nice, always insightful and enjoyable! I do think you defend way too wide on the FT sometimes. Maybe you could do an episode using pio's preflop solver?

Nash chip EV shows utg1 should be shoving a range of 23.4% with 6bbs and utg2 can profitably call with 12.8% of hands which includes 44+

i was wondering the same thing as i'm sure it's plus ev in icmizer and like you said any other flat callers should play quite honestly with the dead side pot so we can mostly realize our equity

well i just wanted you to clarify the spot so i can learn... I would have been 3betting trash and TT+ for value so clearly i'm making mistakes.

so tilting not being able to see the bet size clearly

and with him already having a relatively tight opening range will he not need to be jamming really often as a bluff to make 88 a 3bet call?

Feb. 13, 2017 | 4:27 p.m.

with the 88 do you not expect vbv1990 to just flat vs your 3bet with a wide range rather than rip 35b as a bluff enough to make it a good play? especially when you are unsure of his range so it can leave you making huge mistakes when you can very profitably just flat pre and have a more polarized 3betting range? I know someone has already made a similar comment but it just seems hard to believe this is the best play.

Thanks

hi, great vid.

you mentioned you were playing chip EV until the FT. So do you not alter your ranges much until then? i thought icmizer would change ranges a lot at the final 2 tables for example?

Thanks

enjoyed the vid as usual.
Is there a reason you don't turn on fgs in icmizer?

Hey, great vid! I'm curious when you fold the AT otb at about 6min and you talk about raise calling, what do you think about flatting as an option? Keeping his weaker Aces in and balancing your flats with AA and KK sometimes maybe?
I struggle a bit with this as certainly in HRC flatting would often show more of a profit and that doesn't take position into account
