Awesome video Nick, especially the stuff about being biased in EV comparisons between the optimal solution and the simplification, rather than a wildly flawed implementation of the optimal solution and the simplification. Keep up the great work!

Awesome video Nick! This is probably the best video I've watched so far on RIO Elite (out of 50 odd). Keep it up!

Great video, Tyler! Interesting how tiny changes in trap combinations can so drastically bring down the optimal bet size from infinity to half-pot or less...

The 67hh hand where you rivered the flush was particularly interesting - I was surprised by how small we bet there, when we are unlikely to be bluffed by anything but the naked Ah. Do you think we could exploitatively bet bigger, especially against imperfect/non-clairvoyant opponents?

At 1:30 when the guy jams 8bb with A6, to me this jam looks standard? You say it is reckless, is that because of the bubble?

Amazing video - this is what I pay for!

9:30 About the turn bet - Surely the caller can float this small flop bet and see a turn with vulnerable hands like AK, 99 TT. QQ+ very likely 3bets pre so his range seems capped preflop. Sure he has traps occassionally but there is a blocker to JJ, 77, 88 on the board meaning a turn bet is fine IMO as he has plenty of weak hands in his turn range, especially with the flop texture being dry and the smallish flop sizing. .

I like his line, it keeps the pot small on the flop when he is getting called a high %, and then barrells the turn when over half his flop calling range needs to fold = smart line.

I feel e should be turning 66 into a bluff and there are enough hands that will peel the flop that you should put pressure on on the turn.

Thanks for the reply Julian! I thought that the bigger we bet, the more bluff combos we can fit into our overbetting range while still remaining unexploitable. So the more we bet, the more often we can barrel. But I guess we don't have enough super-nutted hands in some of these spots to have such a polarised range. Thanks again :)

Hi Julian,

Awesome breakdown! I really like how you explain why PIOSolver prefers certain combos, and how you would make exploitative adjustments. Just a question - why 150% pot? Isn't it better to bet bigger when you have a polarised vs capped range? I thought the optimal size was to just jam.

Thanks :)
