I'm having a friend that claims that the variance in soft live PLO-5 cards is higher than if he played soft live tournaments (30 to 60 person field).
I've put some time googling it now, but haven't been able to find good comparisons.
What does the RIO jury have to say?

Yeah all those figures are very far from reality. Even in higher stakes MTTs you should be able to do better than 20% ROI. And no matter how you judge the variance in 5 card PLO, it should be at least closer to double that of 150BB.
I think those figures need to be tweaked a lot to be more true.
