Looking lean, Mr. Johnson. Those gym hours paying off, it seems.

and nutrition he utilizes for optimal performance

What's your diet btw? :)

This profession is, quite often, hard as fuck. We can study for hours per day, sit down, grind for twelve hours and lose $10k. Then get up again the next day, study, and get fucked all over again. However, we should all remember that there is only a very small subset of society that would have the mental resolve to be able to do this job for a living.

Amen.

This post definitely needs more love. Such a 'first-person' experience, emotion-wise. Literally lived through the situations while reading it.

Very well written. <3

Hey Luke.

Very cool bot-vs-bot feature and really great review format. Liked it very much and learned quite a bit. Thank you for your continued efforts delivering top notch educational content.

As a side note, I really enjoy your around-the-game thoughts regarding approach, mindset, etc. Particularly, that "jinxo" analogy (however you spell it) about understanding what type of player you really are. Poker player identity, so to speak. I believe it to be one of the most important concepts for choosing the path of development in poker (i.e. using solver software for different purposes in terms of building your strategy, in accordance with your player identity).

Once again, thank you for all this food for thought.

This is soooo good.

Welcome back, Sensei.

Really like the format. Please, continue with the footage from the matches against Nacho.

Thank you for the content.

One of the most emotionally expressive HH reviews I've ever witnessed and I loved every second of it, haha.

Pretty crisp format, too. Keep it up, boss.

Here's something to reignite your grind mood:

Just when you think Clanty's gonna run out of new formats and the bar is already high enough, he comes up with the new way to deliver the top notch content. That in itself is rather impressive. True versatility. The humor also helps. I literally burst out laughing at "GO BIG OR GO HOME" analogy regarding the sizing scheme.

Really enjoyed the video. Thank you for your continued efforts, Mr. Johnson.

Thank you for yet another thought provoking video.

Listing down things and simulating scenarios without them is quite a fascinating idea.

Extra points of respect for extra courage of recording while shot taking.

Your efforts are appreciated, Mr. Johnson.

Hey man, el.suertero here. It's an honor playing with you. I played way lower stakes when I joined RIO some years ago and your videos particularly had a decent impact for me moving up (your thought process resonated with mine a lot). Now that I play at the same tables with the sensei himself - it's kind of 'dreams come true' scenario, haha.

So thank you for your work (and your thoughts on my game in this video). :)

Another great format. Also, I appreciate your self-reflecting humor, haha.

Regarding 66 on T72r being worse for calling than 55-33 vs PSB: maybe it has something to do with reverse implied odds where we always donate a stack to 98 when we hit our set on the 6-turn, while 55-33 being cleaner?

thejericho2 thank you for sharing the hands and props for not being afraid to appear vulnerable. For me personally it's both inspiring and refreshing to see that high stakes players are humans, too.

Looking forward to your upcoming videos.

And this is, ladies and gentlemen, how the top-tier educational video content should be done.

Just perfect mix between 'live'-play and theory commentary on range composition / sizing schemes / frequencies / meta considerations. This is really great format, highly appreciate the time spent on preparation. Enjoyed a ton.

I hope you'll be making more of these in the future. You set the quality bar really high, so thank you Luke.

P.S.: Looking forward to battle you again at 1k haha.

I feel like a have the opposite problem. I think I don't go hard enough (or even at all) on myself for doing things I know for sure I shouldn't be doing. I forgive myself too easily.

I would like to hold myself more accountable and responsible for my actions in-the-moment, so to speak.

Chris Pimmer how do I achieve this? Thank you.

This video should be illegal. Delete it.

Seriously though, awesome work. Nice to watch all the work having been done for lazy ass like myself. :P

Looking forward to watch and digest the upcoming parts of the series.

Mikey Stotz please do not interfere the flow of the future live play vids if possible. Thank you.

Feb. 10, 2020 | 7:31 a.m.

Hey Ben. Thanks for the vid.

Can you share why do you believe it's important to have a calling range from SB?

Feb. 8, 2020 | 10:48 a.m.

I wouldn't say that one format is superior to the other, they just demonstrate different capabilities of the coach. I personally enjoy watching a competent player under the pressure of the real-time action articulating his in-the-moment thought process. It helps to understand how to apply complex concepts directly at the table, not just in the comfort of the 'lab'.

In my opinion, Henry is by far the best RIO coach in terms of quality analysis per minute, so to speak. It actually amazes me how he is able to deliver his logic to the viewer in such a clear, consistent and yet - so fast-paced manner.

This is why I believe that Henry deserves to be an elite coach.

Hey man, you got those PT4 filters figured out yet? :)
