I've been playing a little on ignition. Deposited using bitcoin. Acepoker has a card catcher for HEM and PT you can purchase.

First of all, I have been lurking around RIO for a number of months and want to thank all of the pros and subscribers who contributes to the site. I have played very little poker these last few years and the resources on this site have been incredibly helpful with getting up to speed with how much the game has progressed.

As stacks become more shallow (20-40bb) and antes kick in I have always opened wider but I am struggling with my flatting range. I usually add hands to my opening range such as off suit broadway hands or hands with more top pair potential. I also remove some small pairs and suited connectors in certain positions.

How should I consider adjusting my flatting range once antes are in play and stacks become more shallow? Are there any videos that address this topic you would recommend?

For example, 12.5% ante, MP1 opens to 2.5x with 30bb effective stacks and you are in MP2.
Assuming you have no history with a player. What hands are you now flatting that you would normally fold (if any) with 100bb pre antes?

How does your strategy change when you have 20bb or 50?

How does your strategy change in the above example in the Hijack or Cutoff?

I’m more interested in understanding the theory and how to apply the concept more so than specific hands.

Thanks in advance.

As a cash game player who's trying to play more tournaments this was incredibly helpful. Some of the things you mentioned that I kind of knew intuitively... but your video really helped solidify them in my mind (how antes effect widening ranges, defending ranges, larger off suite hands going up in value, one pair hands post flop going up in value do to SPR, etc). Thanks!
