Q1. Should I just have 3bet preflop?
A.
Pros:
I've head we should be playing linear ranges and very rarely calling at this stake due to rake.
We have 2 blockers (a new concept to me, may be misapplied?).
Cons:
Hand gets dominated if it hits. (they would 4bet AK often i imagine though)
OOP
I'm misplaying a lot of 3bet pots post flop.
Q2. Should i have cbet flop?
A. Perhaps a 33% bet on this board would have been worth a shot. Other than hitting K or Q I will be doing a lot of xf on turn which I imagine is a big leak of mine.

Anyone have any recommendations for who was particularly insightful as you were coming up from the lower limits?
July 7, 2021 | 1:29 p.m.
Think I may try something similar. Will give myself a 10 buy in shot limit if I’m winning by at least 2bb/100.
July 5, 2021 | 11:07 a.m.
Over what amount of hands would you say is enough of a sample to consider shot taking the next limit?
July 5, 2021 | 8:10 a.m.
Curious though if anyone has any actual results while playing on zoom tables over solid sample sizes. The only things I’ve come across are hypotheticals or are on regular tables.
July 5, 2021 | 5:39 a.m.
Was your results from zoom?
July 4, 2021 | 2:55 p.m.
Curious as to what is a reasonable expectation and i know anything above 1bb/100 is better than 90% of players. I'm interested in what someone that was getting in 45-90k hands with a 50/50 play/study routine that was learning in a structured logical manner could expect to get per 100bb in this day and age?

Q1. Is this an obvious raise and if re-raised jam situation? I didn't with thought of him only calling with a straight yet there are many draws and 2 pairs he could have called with in retrospect. Is there any type of flop we wouldn't be doing this on?
Q2. In 3-bet situations are we always looking to be getting it all in here?

Q1. What line would you take here? I figured the flop hit our range a lot harder than opps (false logic?). What sizing would you have used? Was the river call dumb?
July 4, 2021 | 8:51 a.m.
That makes a lot of sense.
How do you figure out if your c-betting 1/3 oop and 2/3 in position? Does it equate to us just folding say 2nd pair and worse or something?
June 20, 2021 | 6:25 p.m.
Overall quite impressed with success of betting dry and high card boards for so small an amount and taking it down.
I have 2 questions.
Can we do this from any position as an opener where our range is uncapped on the correct board texture? Example I saw was on the button vs Bb just wondering if it’s still applicable? Or does being oop change our strategy?
If we are consistently getting raised by certain villain can we just ignore it till we have something of value? What kind of value would cut of point be? TP/ Nut flush draws?
When would you consider their Raise flop C-bet to be getting out of line?
June 20, 2021 | 4:24 p.m.
I understand with fish, when we have a value hand we want to bet as big as they’re willing to call with worse. Does this logic apply to the reg population at your limit as well? Or do we have standard sizes as not to give away the strength of our hand?
And is the 2/3 pot size vs 3/4 arbitrary or is their a purpose to it?

Q1. Was this call down acceptable?
I think we are at the cut off point with J kicker so borderline acceptable.
Q2. Does villains sizing for 3 streets change things?
I think its unlikely I will win by river bet and he is wanting me to call.
Q3. Should i ever fold the river? What stats info could be used over large sample to aid this decision?
I'm uncertain.
Q4. Would this have been a better hand to 4-bet due to blockers?
Yes, but I don't know if things change on the button. I would fold to shove after 4-bet.

I’m working my way through from the ground up, as course progresses concepts do get more complex and not only that I find myself questioning what I have actually internalised. Not only that but the sheer amount of info and other sources can be overwhelming when it come’s to learning this game.
Instead of finishing the course I though of why not have a basic enough strategy that will prevent me from getting in trouble while fully going into depth on topics in a logical order. My action plan is something like this.
Buying pre flop ranges from Peter Clarke’s site, as I was using the grinders manuals examples, and then also updated and incomplete once’s from the ftgu course but both do not cover everything. I’d rather master something instead of having blank spots or making incorrect ones myself. I think this is an area that just needs done correctly and my options are his site ranges, upswings ranges (prices are around the same) or some people recommended gtowizard, if you make a free account, but their ranges make no sense to me.
Getting an essential membership and truly focusing on an area, do you recommend the paths on this site? For example the order? Preflop to 3betting then 4betting, does it make logical sense to learn in this order? Or what do you recommend?
I’m playing about 1000 hands a day zoom 10nl. Marking problem hands and posting 2-3 a day and doing my best to identify where I spaz out. Any other habits you recommend?
This is my go to strategy when I don’t know what’s a going on post flop..
- Bet hands you want to get called or are in danger of being out-drawn
- Check/call hands that are good but can't really get called by worse if you bet
- Use draws to bluff
- Anything else is check/fold
- Make sure you re-evaluate your hand on each street

Opponent is a regular looking unknown.
Question: Was this a fold/jam pre? Is there a sizing you would fold to on the flop? What would be your ideal line?
Are we going to have any adaptations due to this being 10nl zoom and population reads? What's the process of getting population reads?
June 11, 2021 | 5:32 a.m.
Do you have any recommendations on where to buy ranges?
Great answers by the way.
June 11, 2021 | 4:27 a.m.
What is the best way of creating mixed ranges? Is one expected to go on on to poker stove and make our own or are their defaults? Are their any recommended videos or series on the practicalities on using such tools for this purpose?
How do I decide whether to call or 3-bet my cards that are marked as mixed? Do I set like a randomiser for 50/50?
At what kind of sample size should we be looking to change to a polar or linear strategy?
Your graph looks amazing. How instrumental was getting a coach in this? Werre you just working through run it once learning paths to reach this level?
