Hi all! 

Every time I log on to highstakesdb.com to see the big winners and losers from the last 24 hours, it seems as if Gus Hansen is on the loosing side nine out of ten times. As a fellow Dane it hurts my heart to rail this virtual beating of an, at least I think so, intelligent and sympathetic man. But if he is intelligent, why does he come back time and time again to play the best players when it seems as if, according to most, he is the biggest whale out there? 

Keep in mind that this post is purely speculative and I just want to know what other RIO members think about this issue;

Could it be that Full Tilt (now Pokerstars) have and are compensating him for his losses? Personally I find interesting to think about, if Full Tilt used to compensate Gus for his losses if he played a lot, almost on a daily basis, to keep the high stakes action going, to make them money? --> They would get a lot of rake and, at the same time, lur people on to their site to rail the high stakes matches. And If you watch your idols throw hundreds of thousands of dollars back and forth I think most would be enticed to play themselves (at lower stakes, but still). 

Gus is currently down almost 16.500.000 $ for his online escapades. I know he sold some .coms earlier and that he could be backed, but how do you find stakers with a track record like that? -And why would a seemingly intelligent person keep coming back to throw his money down the same bottomless pit every night? Just a degenerate gambler or what?

What do you guys think?
