So this is a hand from Sunday 500. Opener is pretty aggro, played at that moment like 25/25 after like 30-35 hands so not a big sample really. IMO my image on this table was pretty aggro. In like 30 hands i 3 bet 3times this is my 4 . Once i won pf (opener folds), second time i fold to a 4 bet jam. Third time double up with QQ . So this is my 4 3 bet on this table so my number is pretty big. This guy played like 4-5 other tables (BI minimum 100$) and looks very competent. My plan was 3 betting and 5 bet jam after his 4 bet . Thought that my image is enough aggro in his eyes to 5 bet jam this hand. But after that made some calculation.
He need to 4 bet bluffing like33 % times (fold to a shove) to made my 5 bet profitable like 2-3 Big Blinds . When he do this 25% times it is still chip ev+ but really minimum like maybe 0,5 bb and really really high variance spot. So i quess we dont need that at this stage of the tournament.
What do u think about that, what is his 4bet bluff frequency in this spot ? 2-3 Big blinds ev+ in poker tournament is much or it is not enough. Normally in poker i quess every ev+ decision is good, but this is MTT and we need to have a lot of other factors in our attention.
Other options is ofc just flat it pf, what then we 3 bet with intention of 5 bet jaming here?
