I'm planning to play more live poker in the coming year and doing some traveling to do so. I am hoping that some of you have some insightful tips to share on traveling with cash, managing bank accounts etc.

I live in Vancouver, BC but I'm a U.S. citizen. As of right now most of my money is in CAD aside from what I have on internet poker sites.

I've put 50k into a high interest savings account (1.25% ugh) and plan to slowly change over about half of it to USD by simply taking 8k or so at a time to a currency exchange shop (VBCE in Vancouver.) This is my starting live poker bankroll.

How do you guys manage keeping cash at home or on you in some way for going to the casino and how do you take it with you when you travel? How about exchanging currencies, etc?
