Trying to combat an absolute maniac, right approach ? PLO 100 HU

Blinds: $0.50/$1.00 (2 Players) SB: $206.29
BB: $100.00 (Hero)
Preflop ($1.50) Hero is BB with 8 K J 7
Hero raises to $3.00, SB raises to $9.00, Hero raises to $27.00, SB calls $18.00
Villian was 3 btting 67% for the first 50 hands and absolutely destroying me with pot pot pot since i simply did not pick up any hand.

I figured my hand is strong enough vs his range, also i expect him to make huge errors postflop
Flop ($54.00) 5 3 7
SB checks, Hero bets $53.50, SB raises to $107.00, Hero calls $19.50 and is all in
The pot is huge, i know due to his range, he hits it better than a tight 3 better. Still he has to fold a good chunk and also i have tp and 3 higher card. So i shove.
Turn ($234.00) 5 3 7 3
River ($234.00) 5 3 7 3 T
Final Pot SB wins and shows two pair, Queens and Threes.
BB lost and shows two pair, Sevens and Threes.
SB wins $199.50
Rake is $0.50

I have huge problems combatting maniac players. I feel like they sit down with a buyin and just run with it. If they get lucky distribution wise they quickly run up a few stacks. I know in theory i have to semibluff more and trap them.

Am i just doomed vs such players if i dont hit ?
