Thank you for creating this awesome video Patrick! I loved the topic and the presentation, I think the information from videos of this format will definitely stick much longer than info from a play 'n explain or something of that nature. I could follow you all the time even when you were speaking a bit faster. Amy's animation game was spot on once again :) thank you for your insight on the hand I provided and please keep these lovely videos coming! I wish you and every person who reads this comment the most amazing day and all the happiness and tranquility in the world.

Hey Ben!

I love your videos, keep up the good work! I have a question about population tendencies as they were kinda relevant in your video too (especially at 10-25NL zoom as that's where I'm playing currently after a one year break).

I have done a ton of Piosolver work because I love the mathematics behind poker and playing was basically just a means to get into spots to think through and analyze later on but in pools where people heavily underbluff (such as 10NL) I believe equilibrium strategies are kinda irrelevant because bluffcatchers are significantly -ev.

I am currently adjusting by playing the closest to equilibrium I can and then deviating from equilibrium versus aggressive lines such as X/R Turn and River, cbet river, x/r on dry boards in 3bet pots and big river bets in general. My goal is to gain all the EV from their bluffs which they choose to bet way too rarely thus letting me realize my equity and EV with my weaker hands and folding to deny EV to their value heavy betting ranges (I do believe this to be the maximum EV strategy which I then deviate from based on specific reads and play closer to equilibrium again).

I would be very interested in your opinion on adjusting at the super low limits :)

Take care and may you be well and happy!

Hello Henry :)

really enjoying your content! I remember watching your twitch stream when you just started (I think sometime 2.5 years ago) and remember you having a very cute cat! I hope both you and your cat are doing well :)

I just got back into poker after like a one year break and have done quite a lot of Pio-work and Pokersnowie study in the past (I always studied a ton more than playing because I like the math aspect of the game so much more than actual play, my total Pio-time is probably 600+ hours).

I am currently playing 10-16NL and believe that most of Pio's equilibriums are kinda redundant especially when facing barrels/raises and being the defending player just because people are bluffing at such a low frequency.

I do believe that my highest EV strategy is to just bet in a very pio'ish manner and just fold to aggression (raises in 3bet pots, double/triple barrels as PFC) thus generating a ton of EV from the parts of their range that don't bluff/don't call and denying their value portion EV from overfolding a ton. Do you have any specific advice on how to adjust my strategy?

I wish you all the best. May you be well and happy!

best regards,

Axmy

Comment | Axmy commented on Should i fold the river?

I like your line :) having the Jc isn't the best because you block his river bluffing hands like JTcc KJcc AJcc; even without the Jc your hand should be indifferent between calling and folding from a theoretical perspective so the call should win similar chips to a fold if villain plays his range correctly.
