But what does 4betting a polarized range accomplish?

If I replace queens and jacks with some suited connectors, does this really improve my equity against his range? Or is the benefit from being able to lay them down after a 5bet shove, as opposed to queens, which (we previously thought) leaned towards a call?

If the small blind is defending preflop vs. a 4bet with AA, AKs, AKo, KK, QQ and JJ, according to Flopzilla anything but AA and KK are negative equity against his range.

Are we concerned about being exploited by our opponents if we're only calling 5bet shoves with aces and kings? Or is this not an issue at these stakes/game type? Also, if we're not calling 5bet shoves with queens or jacks, does this mean we shouldn't be 4betting with them preflop, but rather just flatting? (Under the assumption queens and jacks play very well in position against our opponent's preflop 3-betting range, and 4betting seems likely to make worse hands fold, and better hands call/raise.)

When you say the three of us share the responsibility of defending, does that mean the 33% is distributed across all three positions, or should the SB still strive to defend 33% of the time against a 3x open from the CO?

Thanks for the link, and the explanation. That's exactly the type of mindset I'm trying to develop when building these ranges, or even when just playing. I've been finding it difficult to accurately assess my opponent's ranges, and when I do get to showdown I'm unhappy with how often they have a hand I didn't expect. (This is generally at micro/low stakes though, and I'm not sure if I'm overthinking too many situations.)

I'm working my way through the essential videos, and while watching Djunknell's 'Improving Your Exploit Skills (Part 2)' I noticed he has hand ranges constructed in Flopzilla for nearly every situation and position. For cash, he has open, defend vs. 3 bet, and defend vs. open, with ranges within those categories for MP v UTG, CO v UTG, CO v MP, BTN v UTG, BTN v MP, BTN v CO, SB v UTG, SB v MP, SB v CO, SB v BTN, BB v UTG, BB v MP, BB v CO, BB v BTN and BB v SB. For MTT, he has categories for > 80bb, 60-80bb, 40-60bb, 30-40bb, 25-30bb, 20-25bb and 17-20bb (that I can see; there's obviously more).

1) Could anyone point me to some resources that specifically refer to constructing hand ranges from various positions, as well as resources regarding the theory behind it? (I've been reading about GTO ranges, but I believe this is a combination of GTO/exploitative.)

2) How much difference will there really be in these ranges? Or put another way, how do you accurately add/remove hands from such similar positions? (Such as deciding the difference between BB v MP and BB v CO?)

Thanks for the help.
