Very often weaker PLO players will just close their eyes and ram in their last bit of money in multiway 3-bet pots. This is a huge mistake as you'll see in this video. There's a lot of nuance to these spots and we even incorporate some small bet sizings at SPRs as low as 1!

Horseofhell shares an insightful, albeit somewhat embarrassing, video. The intention wasn't for the video to take the direction it did, but every hand analyzed ends up being one where Horseofhell gave up a bluff incorrectly. Nonetheless, progress is made by learning from mistakes. Identifying these errors is crucial for improvement, and seeing a session filled with so many abandoned bluffs has been eye-opening for Horseofhell. Going forward, this is an area that will receive focused attention and hard work. Hopefully, this video will also inspire others to identify and address some significant mistakes in their own games!

Today's video will be a continuation on the video Horseofhell did previously on thinking in ranges. This time we are going to be looking at a different spot to see how this thinking in ranges idea translates to other situations and how it might help us make better decisions. Not only on the flop, but also on later streets!

Yesterday was not a good day. Horseofhell got absolutely demolished in what feels like every single spot. Sometimes in the moment these sessions can feel so hopeless and demoralizing. He always enjoys the approach of just stepping away from poker for the rest of the day if you have a bad session to study the hands with a fresh pair of eyes. So what did actually happen yesterday? Did he play really bad? We will find out in today's video.

Horseofhell loves studying small pots. He's talked about it in many previous videos and will die on this hill: small pots are underappreciated. While they might not be the most exciting hands, they are very common so small mistakes can easily add up to big mistakes over the course of many hands. In this video, he looks at some hands and hones his skills in spots that others might find too boring to study.

A bit of a dramatic title for a video about C-Betting, but this is actually what happened to horseofhell. He used to be a slave to the solver. Purely trying to copy strategies without really understanding them. The approach that he will highlight in this video has really changed how he thinks about the game and helps him make better decisions not only on flops, but also on turns and rivers. We hope you will find this as useful as he did!

Back at it with a look at two juggernauts battling it out at high stakes and we look at a variety of hands to see where their approach differs from the solver and why these fellas might be choosing to play certain strategies.

Recently Sanita and Berri Sweet have been playing a lot of HU. This has been a treat to watch for every HU PLO fanboy as these two players are widely regarded to be the very best in the world. Horseofhell has been watching their hands closely and today he is going to share some of the hands that he's analyzed with you to see if there's anything we can learn from how they play. Or perhaps even spot some mistakes in how they play?

Nov. 6, 2024 | 5 p.m.
After studying some hands that I played in the recent 10k PLO WSOP event on GGPoker I noticed I made some huge passive blunders that I need to iron out of my shortstack game. I've frequently made mistakes shortstacking where I just call instead of raising a hand I should have raised so with todays video I want to make an end to that once and for all...

Despite sounding like a broken record, I will keep saying it: studying small pots is where you can gain a lot of edge. In today's video I will show you guys several different hands that I've studied over the past week that I found interesting. While these spots might seem 'boring' I strongly believe that there are a lot of very important lessons to be learned from these hands.

A question that gets asked all the time: Is Rush&Cash beatable? I always found it hard to answer this question as I didn't have any personal experience in the pool. I decided to make an end to that today. I played for some time in the 1$/2$ Rush&Cash pool to see how people play. Is everyone super solid? Is it a rake trap? The answer will be given at the end of the video

Recording your own play has huge benefits. Not only for studying purposes but also to see your personal progression. It can be very difficult to track your progression in poker so looking at your old footage is one of the best things we can do to achieve this. Join Horseofhell as he does just this and finds some big mistakes that he dialed out of his game these past months. Hopefully this video inspires you to also start recording your sessions!

The C-Bet - check - bet line is incredibly common in poker. It is also one of the more tricky situations to bluff because you just end up on the river with so much air and natural bluffs. How do we select which hands to bluff? And how big should we bluff? Join Horseofhell as he answers these questions by splitting this spot into two distinct categories: capped and uncapped rivers.
July 31, 2024 | 5 p.m.
Betting the turn after the preflop raiser didn't C-Bet is one of the most common and important spots in PLO. It's one of the main ways we make back a lot of EV in the big blind so it's vital that we play this spot well. In this video Horseofhell walks you through several different hands he studied on this spot in the past couple of days. He also specifically pays attention to river play. Because for us to be able to effectively bet a hand on the turn, we need to know on which rivers we can continue bluffing on. He also discusses some important river bluffing concepts: It's not always important what you do have, sometimes it's important to consider what you DON'T have!

There are not a lot of worse feelings in poker than getting stacked by St1ckman aka Vasilev Sergei. Unfortunately prior to making this video it happened twice in short succession. These spots inspired Horseofhell to study some check raising thresholds for shorter stacks. Join him as he tries to analyze these thresholds and eventually discover some interesting concepts that he misunderstood in game.

Writing down results of hands that we've studied is vital. We are studying many hands (hopefully) over the weeks/months and it's easy to forget certain concepts we've learned. Or even worse, we might forget the context of certain concepts that we learned therefore misapplying them in game. To avoid this it's great practice to periodically go over some of the hands you've studied. Join Horseofhell as he practices what he preaches and recaps some of the hands that he found interesting and studied over the past few weeks.

After being quite busy outside of poker join Horseofhell as he plays a session where he tries to derust a little. In the process however he bites off a bit more than he can chew. By playing too many tables and focusing on too many things outside of poker he ends up making quite a few mistakes that he would not have made if he was playing an A game. Consider this video a warning: don't let the same thing happen to you!
