Hey Elias! Do enjoy your content. Regards music I do not mind but during the hands I wish the soundtrack would be without vocal.

Hey,
@30 min, 3bet pot, 28a,two spades you have a8, and on the turn(j) your saying that player should fold AJoff preflop, it's just craz talk imo, sldo people like to 3bet btnvsco polarized too(aj is doing really good in that spot), and for example you 3bet like axs(a7s,a8s, even low aces) folding aj would be disaster.

Oct. 20, 2016 | 9:56 p.m.

From GTO, we can almost never fold AK(blocking AA is just to much valuable, even from exp.view, there is a merit to fold some A spade combos). Good player will give us much heat there, cos in that positons they can 3bet hands like AJo as a bluff, or j10s, a10s, 910s. So good players will have a bluffing range there, and folding a deceptive top of our range is pretty weak play.

Aug. 19, 2016 | 2:54 a.m.

he misplayed one street(flop or turn), but the river call is good, blocking aq, and not blocking his flouts and bluffs.

June 2, 2016 | 12:41 a.m.

Hey Ben.
43.min. I really dont like that lead on the river. When he overbets the turn, he's polarized, our hand is pure blufcather, but very good bc, and all the value that kq gets - is from bluffs in this situation (cos he never value bet worse for that size), and with that lead, we're just making him fold that bluffs, for an argument that we can bluff- kj of spade for example. I think that letting him bluff when we have q - has much more value, then to protect our bluffs(which will be rare, and many times in reverse implayed od.sit.).

And so much often we'll have the q in this spot, then hand like kjs(which is 3betting like min. 75% in this spot), and even on the turn with kjs I'm not thrilled to call a overbet in that spot, are you?

@38 min, AA hand. When we got c/r on the turn, first thing I think about, is player calling range preflop, very few players will call there hand like AJ off, so he'll mostly call hands like AJs,A10s, KQs,and AK(of big cards, and ofkors pairs like 88-KK) hands that are doing very well against any range really, and 200 bb deep especially. When we do get c/r there, few players have a bluffing range there(and that's a mistake), first hand i can think of is aj of spades, or kj of spades, only combos of AK i would bluff there is a AdKs,or AsKd. Looking generally, we have 6-9 combos of value hands(and maybe +2 combos of q10s), so we have to bluff something there(first we do have great deal of value hands in that spot, second our opponent range has many hands that have to fold-so we just must have bluffing range there), or our opponent will have easy time fold AA everytime(and that's not a good result for us).

For me it was shocking to see KQ of spades to c/r the turn, and that's a pretty big mistake, if he's doing that play, to fold opponents AA,or KK, and that's 9 combos he has to shove on many rivers, turning that hand into bluff on multiple street, and he just can't be balance ever.

Good bluffing hands are AsJs,KsJs, and AK with blokers, and you can shove that hands on many rivers not worrying to be bluffing to much. I also think this is a great hand to see, cos there are really many situations where we see that people generally doesn't have the right amount of good bluffs, or they just bluff the random hands, or hands without any sense.

Aug. 25, 2015 | 3:21 a.m.

Can someone please explain me this:
Ev of villans call= frequency of hero's bluffing * (1+2s) - s, so what that "s" on the end means? is that s amount that villan need's to call?

Hey Phil, I'm more of a cash player, but I enjoy MTT-s once in a while, have a lot of respect for your game. But I wanna know this, I see that you raised a lot of flops where you rep little or nothing, for example raising on bb on board AsQs7, you basicly never have set there, and your only value hands are 3 combos of q7s, and A7 and the else is just fd-s and backdoors. you said people don't slowplay enough on that kind of boards. People who understand the ranges do, so they know you hardly ever have value hand there, they can 3 bet flop as a bluff or call and shove the turn if you 2 barell. I think its important to use your raises there where you usally have a lot of value hands, more value hands you have, more bluffs you can pull, not the other way around. Cos if a regular player on let say medium stakes starts to raise flops like that he would have to much bluffs, and on many turns and rivers he would have a really hard situations to deal with(we are talking of a players who aren't top high stakes stars). And today people just dont fold tp like they use to...So I think you just gotta give us better reasons to raise some of flops that you did, beside "people just fold to much, or don't slowplay enough", HUD stats would really help, and that you know your opponents, and how they play, and that you basicly tell us : "I'm doing this, because this is my counter strategy for he's doing that", poker is where you play the man, and the reasons why you do stuff gotta be linked whom your playing with. I think the video would be much more enjoyable and more interesting.
I don't care about playing the general poker players, playing the "population" how you like to say. Play me the man with he's strategy and explain me your thoughts and ideas how to confront him, and counter he's strategy. That's the video I wanna see from you Phil. Show me who, and what kind of player and strategy are you exploting!

Feb. 15, 2015 | 4:53 a.m.

hey man. Very nice video. Just one question, how did you calculate you need exactly 30% equity to make a call on the river?

Question should I bet for value?

I think his range is: 49xx, 9Txx, TTxx and he will call all in with this range, I win 2/3 of the time.

Don't put in his range 44xx, JJxx, beause he would raise me on early streets IMO.

Don't put also staights or Flush ir range, because his agg factor is low 0.8, he won't do such things IMO.

Thanks :)

21:50 All in??? What hand is going to call you? I think all hand fold except Flush. Is it not better to just call to catch a bluff...

Oct. 8, 2014 | 3:33 p.m.

Hi,

Dislike the hand 7c9sTdQd (16min) that it was slow play on Flop. The board is realy wet and usually it hit the OP range, so I think we should c/r the hand and just go All in. Leting him see a turn for 10$ is too cheep, because we wont like so much cards as any Diamond or paired board. And Turn can kill action and OP can make pot contrall.

All in all go vid, just I'm not a fan of action c/c on Flop.
