Great video as usual! What's your win rate in this pool?

Hi Tlyer. Dunno if it's appropriate to ask here. Apologies if I'm over the line. Do you offer private lessons?

Hey Tyler. Who do you think would be the toughest opponents for you to face in a 6max 100bb table?
Thanks

Very well done Tyler. Very interesting topic indeed.

Have you bought the ignition hand grabber? it costs like 40$. That might be the reason why the HUD Is not working

Hi Krzysztof. What's your win rate in BB on 2/5 zone games? Do you reckon 2/5 zone is tougher than 5/10 regular tables on Bovada?
Thanks

Nov. 13, 2021 | 12:29 a.m.

Good content Krzysztof. Have u been having disconnection issues on 2/5 zone games recently despite your
internet being completely fine ?

Thanks

Great content Ben! I prefer this format. I reckon if the Jungle finds himself in a table vs You, Tyler, Luke and Teunuss he will go broke :)

Great effort Luke! Can't think of a better content!

Thanks for lots of good tips. It's unfortunate that 2/5 game broke. Would love to see you crash the field. Do you reckon you could have as high as 10BB/ 100 winning rate in 2/5 zone? 1/2 zone is way too soft for your level.

Oct. 22, 2021 | 9:07 a.m.

Great job Luke! Good format and very easy to digest. Thanks a lot!

Cheers

Great stuff as usual Tyler. Do you ever play 2,5/5 zone or is it exclusively 5/10 or 10/20 6max?
Thanks

The video rocks. You rock.

27 minute mark you bluffed the 8c9c on the turn on the JJ2r. Would you mind explaining in a little more detail why it would be better to choose a hand like 89 vs KQ to barrel off? I seem to be making mistakes in spots like this where I think KQ will block more Jx combos because he'll be calling w/ KJo/QJo preflop every time but not necessarily his J8o or J9o. I do play six max so I realize they're likely flatting all the J8o and J9o vs the preflop 3 bet heads up which they would not be doing as often in a six max game. Would you still prefer to barrel 8c9c vs a KQo if ranges were a little tighter, say if it was your sb 3b range vs a MP flatting range in a six max game? In game i've often thought "Oh, I shouldn't bet w/ 89 here because I block 88/99 combos which are the hands i'd want to get to fold by the river." And so, i've found myself shoveling in chips w/ KQ here more often than not. I've often done the same thing on a flop like J84 w/ KQ... just bet bet bet as long as the board doesn't change too much.

Appreciate this video man well done.

Why do you think the Solver prefers to bluff catch on the river w/ T8s and 98s over A5s?

This was excellent thank you.

I didn't provide any information about IRC clients. You'll definitely want to use one over a browser based client.

WINDOWS: (I recommend HexChat but mIRC is probably the most popular)
HexChat: http://hexchat.github.io/
mIRC: http://www.mirc.com/

MAC:
http://colloquy.info/

Linux users probably don't need a recommendation but what the heck.... you should use irssi!!!

Good luck at the tables everyone!

Post | Lono posted in Chatter: Any Interest in an IRC Channel?

Currently i'm idling over on irc.zebulun.net #RunItOnce

Come talk poker, or whatever else you want. Perhaps we can make this a popular destination.

I can't stand Skype groups and refuse to join them anymore, but I do still enjoy the IRC protocol for a group chat... I'd invite everyone to another one that's already established by winning poker players, but the folks there act like cranky old men and don't take kindly to newcomers. I figured i'd reach out and see if anyone from this community might be interested in getting something going. As a group-chat client I don't believe skype is particularly suited. IRC is an ancient internet protocol that is still much more suited for live group discussion.

Anyway i'll be idling alone, probably forever, until I forget I set this thing up and move on with my life.... Or, you will come post a hand, and the rest will be history! Anyway, thanks for reading!
Eric

Edit

The Cranky Old Men of the aforementioned channel gave their blessing for me to advertise their channel as well.
irc.efnet.org #MSNL

The discussion in this chat should be limited to Mid Stakes play or higher, tho. They are also pretty liberal with the ban hammer if you are annoying, basically by in their opinion asking a lot of stupid questions or posting too low stakes of a poker hand. I'll leave my channel open for those who might want to discuss smaller stakes play though.

Comment | Lono commented on KK on a sick river spot

Also I'd never bet AA on the river, only KK. I'd also likely make AA part of my turn check/call range anyway.

Comment | Lono commented on KK on a sick river spot

Are you guys check calling the turn 100% of the time? I'd lean towards betting the KK because with this particular hand he has more strong Qx in his range that can call vs us relative to potential bluffs. I do give up on this turn frequently with flop bluffs so we do need a check calling range to prevent exploitation but we could still choose to check with hands like QQ/AA/AQ instead, i.e. hands that do not have a negative impact on his bluff:value ratio for this turn. I choose to continue betting the flop with almost my entire range because we have a pretty massive range advantage, and so I will personally have some trips by the turn that would like to continue betting here as well. I'd also bet turn and jam river w/ some combination of really weak holdings which have no chance of winning otherwise but also reduces his likelihood of holding Tx himself as well as a strong Qx, a hand like A9s or maybe 89s. Villain is less likely to have a hand with which he could bluff with here on the turn when we are holding KK. I prefer to keep KK as one of my few betting hands here along with the Tx that I decide to bet flop with (probably betting 9Ts and check/calling ATs). As it is CO vs BB I expect even the reg to call down a little more light than usual for three streets, so I don't expect a hand like AQ to fold to a river bet as often as indicated by previous posters. It seems reasonable for OP to worry about missing value. Even JQ will talk itself into a call fairly often by the river. Maybe people are so good at your games you can never get 3 streets here, but if that is the case i'd just start over bluffing in this spot. There's a reason we don't like bluffing this turn very often, we are frequently getting called and the turn is very good for the villains flop calling range. Villain should have around 60% equity on this turn after calling the flop. I just believe KK is one of the rare hands we could consider using to construct a turn and river betting strategy. If we don't bet KK here I don't think we can have a turn barreling range at all and so we should check 100% of the time. As played I think I prefer shoving river, but if you decide to check river I don't think you can bluff catch w/ KK simply because there are not enough hands that he could have to bluff with vs us. For that reason, I like to lead instead. So, as played, it's fine to check fold, and also the chosen strategy works great if no one is ever calling w/ a worse Q here on the river, but I disagree with that premise. If it is the case that they fold all their Qx here then good regs would be way over folding and we could exploit that by always bluffing 3 streets 100% of the time.

edited to take out the Bet/Folding part. That was clearly silly and not an option given stack sizes. Started thinking we were deeper by the time i'd gotten that far into thinking about the hand.
