But why do you want to have two different sizing strategies when our betting range is so thin already? It seems quite unbalanced to me. If you use such strategy, could you tell which other hands would you bet with $9 size and which with $13.5 and why?

eq.fest, actually we can construct our ranges without taking into account villain's range using GTO approach. But I don't like the idea of constructing GTO'ish ranges vs unknown player due to the fact that they never play optimal.

Thanks for your analysis. I totally agree with everything you wrote.

Another factor I try to consider is my opinion that in marginal spots like this calling is better than folding. Even if the villain doesn't have enough bluffs in his range, our call will never be awful. But fold could be.

Thank you, James.

But it's good for us if Jx hands you listed will just check behind on the river (and I think they will except maybe AJ), isn't it?

You're absolutely right that there are not that many missed FD, but the villain won't have many value combos either, because 44 folds preflop sometimes and 98s often raises the turn.

Thanks!

I was thinking that my turn bet should've been a bit larger due to amount of draws my opponent might have in this spot. I agree that my small turn bet sizing was a mistake.

Thanks for your help. I thought about bluffing the river the moment I checked, so it was too late. Now I see that it was the only right line to take.
