We will use Skype for general chatter but that tends to be a bit unorganized which is why we have our own private forum.

I co run a NLHE study group and we are looking to add a few more members to our group.

We are looking for winning FR and 6-max players who are playing mainly NL25+. We may however consider someone playing lower if their results are exceptional and are thinking of moving up.

Our group is forum based and we are only looking for players who can commit to being active in the group, we do have a usage policy which anyone who is invited to join will be asked to agree to and although not over the top strict if it is not followed then you may be asked to leave the group. We are trying to build a network of players who are all aiming to grow and improve as poker players and being active plays a large part in this.

If you are interested and feel you can bring something to the group then either contact me on here or send a PM to MartL on 2+2 for details.

Thank you very much for the link. Some good stuff in there.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I think all Im really wanting is a basis point to start with like GameTheory suggests. Ive tried to do a bit of research and it seems that my loss rates from the blinds should be less than at FR but Im not sure by how much. Should they be halfed? Also speaking to a few people it seems about 20bb/100 for the CO and 30bb/100 for the BTN is pretty decent at FR.

I think thats where the problem lies though in that I can look at my overall WR and have a good sense of how I am doing but it hard to say without having a rough idea of numbers how I am performing in spots like the blinds.

At the moment my WR by position looks like this SB -8bb/100 BB -37bb/100 EP 23bb/100 MP 9bb/100 Co 11bb/100 BTN 23bb/100. So going on that so far my opinion is that Im leaking in the BB and probably running good in EP but not winning as much as I should from the CO and BTN. Now obviously I can go over hands in those positions to get a feel how I am running but without having a sense of averages its really hard to know if Im over or underperforming in general.

Ive just started playing a bit of 6max after moving from FR and Im wondering if anyone can shed some light on what would be decent winrates by position in bb/100?

For instance at FR in the blinds I were working on losing 20bb/100 for the SB and 40bb/100 for the BB were pretty average and any better than that we are doing well. What about for the other positions?

Any help would be appreciated.

You may have the equity that you need but that dosnt take in to account theres not many flops that you are going to like and that we will face a bet the majority of the time. Wouldnt we be better calling in this spot with cards that have more high card value if we are expecting the villain to barrel off.

Comment | MartL1 commented on tptk marginal spot.
Im mainly a FR NL50 player so not sure how these games play but my first thoughts are that he dosnt get to the river with hands like 66/99 as I think he could raise them on the flop or turn.

Depending how wide he calls pre I guess he can have AJ/A9/A6 in his range but again maybe he raises these hands at some point. He could have some FD`s in his range QTs been one he would get to the river with but again I would think he would raise this on the turn as a semi bluff. Maybe he has other hands like 78s/8Ts/KJs/KQs that he would play this way but not knowing how aggressive the games are Im not sure.

I think given the run out I like check/call on the river.

I do think I get folds from TT/JJ on the river but I agree I rep a really narrow range on the turn. The only Qx I could have is QQ.

I think its a touch FPS against a Villain who may just be looking at his own hands.

Hand History | MartL1 posted in NLHE: NL50 Zoom FR Line Check/Fire River?
BN: $62.35
SB: $84.84
BB: $54.45
UTG: $54.85 (Hero)
UTG1: $32.20
UTG2: $24.25
LJ: $45.48
HJ: $42.06
CO: $50
Preflop ($0.75) (9 Players)
Hero was dealt A K
Hero raises to $1.50, UTG1 folds, UTG2 folds, LJ folds, HJ folds, CO folds, BN folds, SB folds, BB calls $1
Villain is 14/7 after 42 Hands so would think he has a lot of pairs in his flatting range in this spot.
Flop ($3.25) 6 4 9 (2 Players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.75, BB calls $1.75
Given the Villains range I think I can cbet with 2 overs and back door flush draw.
Turn ($6.75) 6 4 9 4 (2 Players)
BB bets $4.75, Hero raises to $15, BB calls $10.25
Once he called I think his range may look something like 99/66/44 for monsters and then TT-QQ with maybe the odd 77/88 thrown in. His lead on the turn throws me and Im not sure if he leads with his monsters so I think his range is weighted more towards hands like TT-QQ.
River ($36.75) 6 4 9 4 Q (2 Players)
BB checks

Just a +1 to enjoying watching a session where not everything goes to plan. Its refreshing to watch a coaching video where its not just the coach running like god and its nice to hear someone been honest saying that maybe he made a mistake here or was getting tilted there.
