I think I would lean towards Cbetting flop, but I think checking back is fine too. If we do check back then we are essentially declaring that we have a hand with showdown value but not a K as has been pointed out.

The delayed CBet on the turn is fine but I'm not 100% convinced that the bet on the river is best. I think the villain has clearly made a mistake either in calling turn or not calling river. Are we really taking a pot control line on the flop, but then determined to extract every last chip on turn and river? I would certainly be taking a note on the villain and noting the loose passive line he has taken. I think you have probably extracted the max value but personally I think I would check back river having been called on the turn as I wouldn't expect us to fold out much, though perhaps we have actually made a pair fold, who knows?

Thanks for the feedback guys. The turn did bring a flush draw as it happens I don't really think that made a huge ton of difference. I think I acted a little too quickly and just had it in mind to extract as much value from the value hands we have mentioned which I thought would likely check back if I had checked. Thanks for the feedback though, I think I agree with the river check/decide, with a possible lean to check/fold. It may have been unrealistic to think I could get value from TT, JJ either way, but that was my logic in the moment.

Played a hand which to a large extent is just a bad beat but I wouldn't mind running it past you guys anyway.

$250 6max tournament, blinds at 15/30, 5k Starting Stacks. I open to 75 with KK in CO, BTN is good aggressive reg 3Bets to 190, I 4Bet to 550, BTN flats. Flop is 942r , I CBet 550, Call. Turn Q, I bet 1175, Call. River 9. I feel like this is a pretty bad card for me actually as I think the Villain can definitely have a 9 in his hand quite a lot the way the hand has played out. I move all in for 2800 effective and am shown the J9s.

I think my opponent does have a lot of suited 9 combos, as well hands like TT, JJ, AQ. I don't really think he has that many sets given the action. Is jam river the only move here, or would anyone ever play it any other way? Villain and I have reasonable amount of history and I think view one another as being capable aggressive players.

Really enjoyed the video, Tom. I've enjoyed all of your videos so far. I entirely agree about the importance of note taking and it is something that I find I am only sporadically good at. I found this type of video preferable to a live sweat as a personal preference so keep em coming. I'll try to post more when I'm less tired but thanks for the vid.

Just to point out that this is labelled as NLH, should be PLO.

Hey Sam, nice primer vid, good job. Any particular resources outside of RunItOnce that you find particularly useful for PLO; sites, vid series, books, etc? Obv Galfond vids are the nuts but anything else that jumps to mind can't hurt.
