Thanks for the feedback, i was thinking that this board smashes my range and by betting flop and shoving turn im repping huge, imo he should be folding his particular hand 100% in this spot, was kind of tilting because he was a winning player which is why i posted this, if he was just a fish then i can understand the awful call.

i was just curious because this seems like a awful call by villian.

Post | ashley jenkin posted in NLHE: WTF spot at 25 NL

hi, i have a really strange spot here, firstly my opponent here had just come to the table in he past 10-15 mins and had been active 3/4 betting quite abit so i come to the conclusion that if i 4 bet here im gonna get a descent amount of folds and i do have the ace blocker, but then this opponent flats this oop that in its self seems weird anyway the flop comes down 2 9 7 rainbow i dont bet because im not going to get called by a worse hand and bet folding seems really stupid turn comes down an 8 and my opponent open shoves WTF!!!!! i mean what the hell hand do you do that with?

1. what do you think of the 4 bet pre?
2. what do you do on the flop?
3. what range do you put the opponent on with this open shove?

April 30, 2014 | 10:39 p.m.

my thinking on this was KQo obviously defending it flop comes down Ks 3h 4h im expecting him to c-bet alot and i actually  have a strong hand BVB so ofc im atleast calling here, turn is Jc and he over shoves huge now i can immediately take from this shove that he is not a good player, it just dosent make any sense i feel like i can say 2 pair+ is very unlikely because why would you over shove huge getting better hands to fold when you pretty much have the nuts in this spot and the board isnt that wet either. im thinking it could be a really badly played Kx, flushdraw or maybe a pair+flushdraw, all i kept thinking about was how strong my hand was here BVB and the fact that people most get out line BVB so i ended up calling.

Tournament is $11 sunday storm with over 42,000 runners, the table seemed really soft and was chipping up nicely throughout.

April 28, 2014 | 5:01 p.m.

If you ask me this is just clearly a hand where villain is tilted to have missed his draw so just calls out of pure tilt, if it was some soul read then why didnt he timebank and think the hand through, you can see hes bad he flats Jto after an utg raise early in an mtt then he calls flop with a gutshot and calls a big turn bet still with just a draw. personally i would of checked turn to take a free card you definitely dont want to bet fold that massive draw and bet calling off there isnt good either, also its early in the mtt early on there is no need to get out of line.

March 31, 2014 | 3:23 p.m.

thanks for the reply.................i didnt have any reads at all on this guy and i had pretty much just arrived at the table. i personally am not folding here much at all i snapped him off and he had kk, just posted it to get some feedback.

my thoughts are.......utg+1 raises so i flat call from utg+3 we are both 40bb+ deep and im not just set mining, i decide to flat as he is opening from early position and its fairly early in the mtt aswell. the small blind and big blind call now the flop comes 3h 2h 5c and everyone checks so i figure im good if everyone has checked to me and i have an overpair so i bet for value and protecting my hand then the small blind check raises all in this looks like a draw to me so with the small blind check raising all in im calling him but then the big blind cold flats now im like WTF! im thinking what the hell is he cold flatting a check raise all in after checking with.

would just like to know if anyone else would play it different pre or post flop and what kind of ranges you have sb and bb on? thanks in advance for feedback.
