I call on the flop but, as played, i am folding.

Don't think he is going crazy in here with only a fd, specially with you blocking the A. I am expecting to see here a set or 2 pairs (A9 or A2).

On turn there a lot of hands that he can raise. 2pairs, str8's, fd's and sets (even if i think sets would maybe raise flop or even 3bet pre since its 88 99 or QQ). On river we can take some of this hands. he doesn't shove 2pairs like 89 or smth because he is loosing to Qx. So he ships there missed flushes, sets and str8's. Only possible set that i see there his 66 that hitted on turn and shipped river. Once again i don't think 88 99 or QQ make a lot of sense since they would or 3bet pre or raise flop.

According to your info ppl are passive posflop so i don't expect him to raise there a flushdraw and then to ship a missed draw. I might fold this specially if its vs a 1 or 2 af player!

that is the worst possible run-out you could have. both flush and str8 hit on turn and river. just like i'm scared with my set i think the guy is also scared with his top pair. you raise a lot of draws on that flop and they all hit. I don't think he will call with anything worst then your set. If he as AK, TK or 66 i think he 3bets you on flop because heavy drawy board, so i put him on a weaker Kx like KQo or maybe QQ or JJ and he is not calling a shove on river with those hands. I prob would just x that river. Maybe x/call depending on the bet size because i don't think that he bets anything worst.

theres no point in raising here. you just have open ended vs two guys. It is likely to one of them to have flushdraw so it takes you two outs. You also have the backdoor fd so its a nice hand to see another card. When you raise here you miss the opportunitie to see a ship draw or nuts and you are putting yourself vs a strong hand (they are going to raise or flushdraw or sets).

I would just fold pre. you are OOP vs a very strong range so even if you hit top pair most of the times it will not be good. As played i don't mind calling flop but would just chk/fold turn.

can see a 3bet pre if the guy folds a lot to 3bet, otherwise i would just flat. Flop i would just fold. You maybe have 2 cards that help you and even then you can have the worst hand so just fold.

Dear Diary,

Today was the day i putted more volume in cash games in my life. Played around 6 hours. Was used to play 6+ hours in mtt's but when i used to play cash i played maximum 3 hours.
Here is the graph of this crazy sess:

Overall i think i played it fine. Was really carefull with all spots and my main problem is auto-pilot. I start listening to music and wandering around and i loose focus on the game and this costs a lot of money. Was really carefull with this situtation and most of the time i was really focused and thinking on every hand.

My red line is really down. The main problem of this is playing pos flop after 3bet, specially OOP. Have a lot of problems playing pos-flop after 3betting and getting called by btn or wtv. this situation is costing me a lot of $ and will be the area i will focus my study on next days.

One great thing i discovered with this sess is the time to play vs donks. Figured whats the time that as the same amount of regs but a lot more donks so i can start my sess later and wait for the donks.

Overall today was a good day. Reviewed a lot of hands from yesterday sess, saw a video and went to the gym (surprised myself and instead of chest made leg day!!!)

Hope to get my red line better next days.

And don't forget: NEVER SKIP LEG DAY!!!! U RUN BETTER ON THOSE DAYS! :P

I would still bet turn. I want to get value of KxQc or KxJc that he still pays and also protect in case he as like TxTc. Plus if you bet turn and he raises i think thats a good sign you are behind and can just fold.

As played on river i think i fold. if he as 88 or 99 he would raise flop. KK would 4bet pre. 22 and 33 would fold on flop so you prob aren't against any set. Any Kx would just check behind. I don't think he would bet so big with such a weak hand unless is AK. So you prob against a total bluff like JT or 67 or you are against flush. Would be nice to have more info about him. His af and fold to 3bet. but usually players aren't very tempted to just bluff this spots. Try to put it on equilab or wtv and work the combos that he needs to have of bluffs for this to be a good call and guess if he is capable to have them. If i'm not mistaken we need 21.45% equity. ($6.39 to a $23.41 pot)

i don't think he would call 67 so vs this range: JTs,AcQc,AcJc,QcJc,AcTc,QcTc,JTo (only bluffing with jt)

we have 71.43% equity. so its more then enough equity.

would raise and call a shove. theres a lot of hands that he can have that you are beating 55+, flushdraws like KQhh or even Axhh and maybe AT. Just loosing to 33, 44 and TT. in all the combos possible you are loosing to few of them so its good to get it in!

Just fold tiver. This line is ver likely for a donk to have flush. Just fold

Any info on the player?

Im really scared on the flop. I dont see any hand that the guy raĆzes there that you are beating. All hands that are behind just call kq kj etc even ak just calls

If the guy as low af (like 1 or 2) i think im folding turn.

Post | barnabe posted in NLHE: NL5 44 set vs agressive raise!

This guy seems to be kind reggish!

he plays 33/23 WTSD=27 and af=3

I 3betted him because he as fold to 3bet of 80%, pretty high so a nice spot to take it pre.
Flop i cbet 50% of pot because its a really dry flop and i don't want to scare him.
Turn obv i cbet again, again didn't want to scare him so made a kinda small size cbet. when he raises me here i put him in set (and if its a set obv its going to be better, except KK because i think he would 4bet), a flushdraw, a Kx hand or 2 pair that his trying to protect or a pure bluff. I just call to keep all the hands on his range.

River is a though decision. He is not very agressive (only 3af) and shoves. On the range i gave him turn i think i can exclude some hands. I don't think he would shove here his Kx, two pairs or sets because river is an overcard and flush so its a bit scary for this hands. So i put him or in a flush or a bluff.

This was the first hand of the hu i am not really sure about whats the best play to do here :/

thank you boyz!

Dear Diary,

Was looking for a forum to create my personal poker/lifestyle blog and Run it once seems very friendly and very active so i think i can get help and improve a lot in here!

Will start by introducing my self. I'm 24 years old student finishing my master's degree and currently on vacations so with a lot of time to poker. Have been playing poker for the past 5 years. I used to play mtt's on pokerstars but unfortunately i can't play them anymore (because of lack of time) so i changed to cash games. At the beginning it seemed a little boring because mtt's have lot of actions and ups and downs while cash games are more "smooth". But after some months playing I'm really liking them. They are full of skill and the fact that i can start and stop every time i want is really good. The main problem is that the skill is different and i'm not really used to play so deep pos-flop so i make a lot of mistakes and miss a lot of spots. But i think that with help and a lot of study i will figure a way to fix all my leaks and move up on levels fast.

Off poker i really like to do physical activities and go out party with friends. I really like to go to the GYM, its my shrink and one of goals is to get leaner and shredder (atm i weight around 77kgs with 20% bf). Also study music and play the sax (its cool to relax after some bad sessions) and love to read! If you can please recommend some really good books (on and off poker).

With these blog i pretend to put some goals and try to achieve them and motivate myself towards them and also share some hands and strategy with you guys so you can help me improve. At the moment i am playing nl5 on bcp.

My goals for this month are:
- Meditate 15minutes every day
- Move up to nl10
- Get to 18% body fat.
- Read 3 books
- Play around 50k hands
