I am starting to 3 betting not long had it in my game and because I polarized my range I seem to overplay them when I get called take the "bluff hands" far to far and I end up loosing big pots. My question are what kind of flops are good for a polarized range and should I be playing straightforward with my bluff hands postflop ???? Any idea would be great

Thanks

Is it best to learn one topic at a time or learn as much as you can and then play and see how it works for example should I learn numerous concepts and include them on my game at once or should I learn a concept at a time ??

Should I be balancing my range for example I raise the flop with strong draws should I also do this with sets and two pair or is balancing not really needed in low stakes ???

Thank you so the way to think about it is if they fold a lot to 3 bets use a polarized range and if they flat 3 bets more have a linear range to extract value ?

HI loose live games are tricky especially if your opponents are calling stations, AA is a solid hand but multi way it looses value as there is more chance of an opponent making a hand to beat you, on the short stack with about 38 big blinds this is a great play going all in because in a loose game the limper's ranges are likely fairly wide and weak and if you know you will get a caller that makes it better, you could of raised less and then had a chance to get away from the hand but i think with your stack size a raise and a c-bet would of committed you anyways. there is not much you can do on a short stack vs loose calling stations apart from get it in with the best hand.

QQ was dead and buried

You should not worry about QQ or AQ if he had QQ he would of raised pre, he could of called with AQ on the button however . On the flop you should c-bet for sure but when you check they also check behind, a hand like AQ would not check that back well at least not IMO. so if i were playing this hand i would not have either of those hands in his range on the turn. he calls your bet but they could be doing this wide because of the action on the flop his range IMO is alot of A-X and suited connectors. to replay the hand you bet from CO so your opening range is wider than an earlier position you check the flop then bet a queen, its possible your opponent has a weak ace they now thinks in good they could have KJ for the straight or some similar hand. when the river is an ace you should shove because his actions so far are likely because you appear weak so if you shove he will likely think you are bluffing.

Comment | cleme291194 commented on 200nl online bluff

i play live and the online area is slightly different, however i dont mind this play because their raising range from the button is wide unless he is a nit, and your flop raise is good as most players would raise here with a flush draw so they can get there stack in easy by the river so when the 3rd heart comes it looks legitimate because you would of called in the blind with suited connects and cards with high implied odds so this kind of hand is in your range the flop bet looks like the flush so when you get the turn and jam the river it tells a good story to me its a good spot on the turn however when he calls your turn bet i would be more prone to slow down a bit but its all player dependant if you know your opponent floats the flop and calls the turn with marginal or week hands this is a great play but if he only calls the turn with a good/decent hand this might get you in trouble. but i think it was creative, believable just out of interest what kind of ranges did you assign your opponent on the flop/turn ????????????

i have already left a comment regarding this post however i was just wondering why did you not c-bet ??

I dont play online, but i play similar stakes live, i dont know what the opponents stats mean as i dont play online but from a live point of view you should defo continuation bet the flop but when you check here you are kind of inducing your opponent to bluff as you defo would have bet an ace so he could of been thinking you 3bet light pre flop and his shove on the turn was to push you off most of your range he could of called your 3bet with hands of high implied odds such as suited connectors so the 8 and clubs could be in his range, he could of turned a set or a flush draw and raised it as a semi bluff, on the river its a blank so if you were a head on the turn you are still ahead now. this is one of my first posts im still figuring out ranges myself so take it easy if my analysis is off here.

Post | cleme291194 posted in NLHE: post flop play

Hi guys new to the site, I play live 0.25/0.50 and the game is relatively loose I play a good pre flop game however post flop as the aggressor I make a continuation bet on favourable flops however when players continue I get lost on the turn and river should I double barrell against loose players ?? Any thoughts would be appreciated

Many thanks
