No reads on villain.

I cbet the flop with range for 1/5 pot and continue on turn w two pair. i thought villain would raise most sets on the flop for 'protection' and delay most raises with the nut flush to the river in position, leaving his turn raising range with straights, some sets and some nut flushes. I also thought villain could be doing this with some AhQ and AhJ as well as some worse Ax suited two pair (few combos). I need 35% equity to call vs an effective shove, and am drawing very thin when he has value. Is this ever a call. Felt disgusted with myself after calling in game.

I mean you either have a photographic memory or you dont.
It isnt something you can learn and most of us are unfortunate enough to not have one

There is not a complete list of 3 bet spots and ranges for each of them in the course, rather it gives you a framework to build balanced 3 bet and defence vs 3 bet ranges, with epodes such as the 50/50 rule devoted to this. There are a few spots covered as example, a reg vs reg spot in late position , and some exploitative spots vs under-bluffing recs on the button.

The course does comes with RFI charts for every position though which I find quite useful, and the three betting covered seems more up to date than the grinders manual.

Hi Pete,

At 11:30 you say the value bet on the river is a bit thin and Akshar says he was trying to get low pocket pairs to fold, but he hit two pair on the river. You then say even a king or a jack wont fold to a big bet so is the 1bb river bet a bit small for value there with two pair

Post | cricketer401 posted in NLHE: break-even 5nl stats check

HI i started playing poker recently and moved to 5nl after beating 2nl for about 7bb/100 9 tabling in my last 50k hands. 5nl seemed exactly the same and i feel like i am improving but my graph is flatlining. I know I have hundreds of leaks in my game but I dont know where to start to gain ev. I've recently found the fold button and my WTSD is at around 26/27 in recent sessions but my results are just as bad. 5nl should be easily beatable with the amount of time I have put into the game but I feel so useless grinding away for 1bb/100 (small sample i know).

I play on party fast forward without a hud and i do well vs the weak regs who fold 80%+ to 3 bets but i think i might be missing value vs fish with range bets even with the nuts on lots of boards.

I also feel hopeless on ace +broadway boards as PFR and have no idea how to handle middling boards when flatted by button or cutoff (range check) any video suggestions?

All help is greatly appreciated on stats or otherwise.

Cheers from a struggling grinder

AT is botton of my HJ opening range and I cbet this large multiway because i should be polarised quite multiway pots?

There are 3 combos of pocket 7's out there and 1 discounted combo of pocket tens. I have the effective second nuts on this runout but wasnt sure if a call on the river is good 200 blinds deep. I thought the small blind may also have 98s which he was running a bluff on but on the 9 river expected him to check it and the button on AQ,AJ the one combo of 10's 77 or 89s. With two villains in the pot and sb weighted to 77 is this call correct?

Thank you.
