So gross. I hate these spots. I think I would more likely than not just call turn and probably call it off on a non AQK river.

What;s his 3bet % though? That would give us a slightly better idea of what his range could be.

Is there any other options other than cc? Also, is there a way we can subscribe so we dont have to physically pay for the service every month?

I have seen this desk twice in my life (only on craigslist) but the first one was too far from where I lived and this one is dinged up. This desk seems to be the perfect size/style for me and my room. If anyone knows of this desk, please let me know. lol

What about check/calling or check raising the turn? Are those viable options? I would consider checking turn hoping to get to a cheaper showdown but if he bet then I could raise him hoping to get him to fold out better and worse hands and if I get called I still probably have good outs vs his bet/calling range.

I just started playing plo at the micros and have been experiencing a quite a bit of success. I think I'm just simply running good but at the same time I think a lot of players over value certain hands like the queen high flush draw and other drawing hands that are considered good in holdem. I may not be in the right place to be dishing out any advice since I have not proven anything yet in plo but I can see this game being a lot more lucrative than no limit holdem (especially in todays games...)

that's is actually bad reasoning tbh. Ignore my post.

this is why I don't play the k9s in a limped pot. I would over limp with it or be the first raiser or even 3bet but raising a limper is something I dont like doing with hands that dont flop well. Some people will argue that k9s flops well...and I have nothing to say to that.

Just fold and give props to villain for either:
A) having a better hand than you. (which is most likely going to be the case in this spot)
or
B) outplaying you.

You have to get out played sometimes.

I think making it $40 kind of puts us in that awkward "I'm pot committed" mindset. So to avoid that, I would make it like $25 and fold to a river shove. I think if we shove over his $7 bet we don't get called too often by hands like j9 but I think if we raise small enough, we do get called by 2pair type hands a ton from fishy players. Also I think if villain decided to shove we could safely assume we are beat a vast majority of the time to feel comfortable letting go of our hand. I mean, some of the time villain is going to show up with a ten and make us fold a chop (which is sickening, I know) but I don't think that happens a high enough percentage of the time to justify calling majority of the time (if we did decide to raise and get shoved on.)

Keep hm1. It's much faster and much more responsive than hm2. I have a pretty decent comp and HM2 still lags on me.

or actually, how excited were you when he called your raise? :D

March 3, 2013 | 11:52 p.m.

how excited were you when he bet 75bbs on the river? lol. sick beat. I hear cvs has some meds to take care of this.

I had this same problem for a while too. I found that exercising and getting good sleep to be a good remedy. Seriously. Good sleep. The kind of good sleep where "you wake up early in the morning without an alarm clock because you went to bed at 8:30pm" kind of good sleep.

March 3, 2013 | 11:02 p.m.

he had a double gutter on the turn.

March 3, 2013 | 7:06 a.m.

also i think villain could call with king high's also because i don't think he would think we would be betting ace highs on river.

March 3, 2013 | 2:24 a.m.

I don't think we rep an 8 that often here because we would raise on the flop or turn i think. I dont think we rep many pocket pairs here because I think we would 4bet the big ones preflop and probably check the river with the smaller ones. I think we are representing quad 8's, 4's full of 8s, and a random 3 or quad 3s, but just because those are the hands we are repping doesn't mean that those are the hands our opponent will give us credit for.

As for villains hands. I do think he can check the river some times with aces because he may think we had a 3 in our hand and got scared when the 2nd 3 came on the river. I think he could check call with ace highs because he would think that we would check back most of our pairs that we flat 3bets preflop with. I do think villain could have a hand like JTs or random hands that our k high beats enough times to check back the river with confidence.

I think king high could be good here enough times to check back on the river.

Does the $9.99 plan come with any of di and hac's videos?

Listen to what these guys are saying. It seems that most people on here agree that you should play less tables while taking your time before each and every decision. I have to agree with that as well. I am fully confident that once you learn how to master your own patience and discipline that you will be able to crush the games as good as any top pros out there.
