The CO does not bet the turn then bets $30 into 7k+ OTR just so he does not have to check behind with the nuts, there is almost no value betting at all in this hand, these players are regulars not recreational poker players, they know that soft playing is bad poker. Then if UTG have some certainty of not having to put his hole stack at risk (the only player still in a hand with more money is likely to check it down with him)  he can call with marginal hands that have good equity against BB all in,then UTG gains an unfair advantage. Likewise when they are heads up and check it down with dead money in the middle soft playing is bad poker, but is it cheating?

I was playing on this live very loose very deep PLO $5-$5 blinds on our local casino 7 handed.

SB $2100  (new player have not played much with)

BB $5500 (semi regular)

UTG $7200 (regular )

UTG+1 $350 (recreational player)

HJ $500 (recreational player)

CO $9500 (regular)

BN $6000 (hero)

UTG opens $20,UTG+1 calls,HJ raises to $50, CO calls, BN (hero)calls,SB calls,BB raises to $250

UTG calls,UTG+1 raises to 350 and is all in, HJ calls living himself with $150,CO calls, BN folds, SB calls BB calls, UTG calls Total pot $2150

Flop 9c3d2c

SB bets $1750 and is all in BB folds,UTG calls, HJ calls $150 and is all in,CO calls, total pot $7550

UTG has $5100 left CO has him covered three other players all in.

Turn 6c

UTG checks,CO checks

River 8d

UTG checks, CO bets $30 UTG calls $30 and shows Jc7cxx, CO shows AcKcxx and wins the pot.

I know this guys are buddies and play table games together, I seen few other times when they check down on some spots that don’t make sense when heads up on a pot, but this time three other people were all in on the hand. when i asked the CO to explain his $30 bet into 7k+ pot he say that he dos not want to hurt UTG because they are friends.

Do you think they are cheating.

Hi Leo great video. I got a question on the KKJ8ds would you ever consider folding pre flop when you get cold 4 bet from the sm blind with these stacks? looks like our call pot commits us on a lot of flops and most of the time we won’t be on a good shape. (sorry i can’t support my suspicions with math, I will be happy to see a math guy elaborate in this spot.)

Great video, i can’t wait to see full ring live PLO, please do ramble (thats the best part of your video in my opinion) and please draw some parallels on life full ring deep PLO compared to 6max on line PLO;)

Thank you very much for your comments, on live 10 handed deep cash games I encounter a lot of players that bet the full pot very often, usually with nutty hands for protection, rarely with bluffs, so against them I think is probably better to fold anything but the strongest hands. Thank you for clarifying, I was under the impression that pot size bets are a leak. Thanks again i’m very lucky to find and join Run it once.

How you guys think is best to exploit pot size bets in plo pre on the flop, turn and river?

thank you Zen for this great explanation and the time you put on this :-)

Thanks a very easy way to calculate equity on a life game +/- 3% accounts for our gambling and curiosity to see the river, the formula is very close to our real odds though i’m still confused ,chances of the board pairing on turn and/or river are about 36% (don’t know the exact number it will be nice if you have it for me it will be handy in other situations when we have to put it in with a set against a made straight or flush)
so 3/4 of our odds should rather be an empiric number that we through in there to help with the math and gets us very close to the truth thanks again.

Hi Zen on your math (~12 outs) when do you account for the times that the board pairs on the turn and we are drawing almost dead against a full house?

Hi guys lately a lot of live plo games around here (WI) are mixed plo hi and plo hi/lo, so i was wondering if more people
would like to see runitonce put more material covering hi/lo plo. I would appreciate it, not that we don't get our money worth of material here, but that would be a nice thing and serve some people’s needs.
It would be nice if Phil or some other pro has some material on plo hi/lo.
thank you and good luck everybody
