Thanks for the answer. I do really had the same feeling that we might be behind a lot but as weirdly play opponent value but also we might see here A7off with 0 equity.

I called and lost to T8off which was kind of a shock for me :D

What would you do on the river jam from opponent?

Post | kacic007 posted in NLHE: NL5 2pair river jam by fish

This hand was played with the fish.
Plan on the flop is to raise cbet but action went check/check.
I think that opponent range is weak but sometimes can have FD but I would expect a lot of betting with FD from opponent even from fish.
On the turn my thinking was that I need to cbet to get value from one card FD but I got min raised. At this point I am still thinking that I have most of the time better hand.
River pairs the board but I do not expect a lot of 3x in opponent range.
What should I do on the river?

When I reviewed this hand I got an idea that maybe checking the turn is as good as betting and I should mix it.
Turn card is not that good for me but it is not terrible. Also I don't think I have 2 streets of value vs opponents weak range. And on xh fiver I can just put my hand into the muck.

Hello,
I really have an issue with estimate relative hand strength.
This time I hit a flush on the river after a very aggressive play by opponent.
I asked myself a question how often will they check full house? And I think that the answer is never and I went for it.
Do you think this is an overplay?

It is close spot but I think if i check turn and FD does not complete i have to call river. And I would play this hand this way today.
Maybe fold to AI because it would be extreamly underbluffed.
I think relative hand strenght recognition and overagression in 3bet pots is my to biggest leaks.
Thanks!

One more hand played during shot on NL10 vs reg. ( I thought I made it 8BB pre - created hotkey for this sizing now)

On the flop I think this is the mix of check and bet - I need to add RNG to my game because I think I might overcbet this kind of hands.
Turn is good for UTG since he has more smaller pocket pairs but there are also some combinations of Ax that might call flop I decided to bet - not sure if this is OK.
River:
My thinking was that this is a great card for me and if there is a spot for bluff this is the one. Hands like 99 TT JJ QQ crying here.
Of course I might get called by some better hands like sets 88 or 77 and flushes but overall I think that It will be hard for UTG to call hand like A5s.

This might be a kind of hand where I am overagressive and really looking forward your opinions :)

Hello,
I was looking at hands that I played BTN vs blinds in small/middle pots and one hand really is a riddle to me.
Played vs 27/17 after 99 hands
I think flop and turn I think it is standard. His donk suggest that he has something, small pairs, flush draw, A4, some 9x like T9s, A9. I play with fit or fold river strategy but he checks.
Is this an mandatory bluff on the river? I don't think he have many 9x ( he can have but very few ) and K is definitely good card for me. His range is very weak here and as played I have more value hands including some low 9x not raised flop or turn.
In my opinion I should bet this river for a 12BB.
What do you think?

I 3betted min raise 4x but then I thought that it is to low. Now I am thinking that I should go even larger to 10BB. And against 2,5-3BB open I play always 11 BB.
Maybe when I will move to 25NL(hopefully one day) then I will rise it to 12 BB but for now I don't feel it makes any difference.

Feb. 13, 2023 | 6:52 p.m.

Agree,
Solver on the turn prefers bet instead of checking for 25% pot. I use 30% sizing normally for the lower sizing.
That is really interesting - why betting here is preferred option by solver?

Feb. 13, 2023 | 6:41 p.m.

My thinking is just to have a bet size on the river that is not an overbet. And I think that for fishy players this might be more tempting to call bet that is not an over pot. But maybe this is only in my head :D
But I like my sizing flop. I think going bigger is an error.

Feb. 13, 2023 | 11:25 a.m.

That was exactly my thinking as well. I jamed and get called by 66 making villain full house on the river.

One think I didn't like for sure in my play is the turn sizing. Should be like 24BB.

CO: 46/18 (99 hands)
Preflop standard 3bet - I don't have calling range here.
Flop is good for us I think small sizing and 60% is ok. For a raise my hand is too strong to fold and his range consist of many overcards that he can bluff some T pairs but with a raise I think all of his T beats me, JJ, flush draws, and set of 66. I would call it merged range (new word in my vocabulary)
Turn: For that sizing I am not thinking about folding. I think his range still same but without air overcards.
River: Sizing really says that he has some of T or JJ that he thin valuebets or busted flushdraw. Overall this line seems to be little underbluffed specially with flop raise.
What do you think fold or call?

Good points. I will try to embed it into my game. About sizing I standard vs limper for me is go 3BB in position and 4BB on blinds. My range should be tighter on blinds.
Good point that maybe here QToff is little bit too thin.

I made a flush on a turn and then villain decided to go for a pot. For me this is very polarized range which contains higher flushes as well as draws with Ah. I am not bothering about blockers at this point much but for a hand analysis I can see that I am blocking JT.
