so just to make sure I have not missed something here..... I read the Hwang article .... if you get Allin 3 way on Poker Stars ... all players cards are not know by Poker Tacker 4 ...   or is it only when you are all in and there is subsequent betting after you are all in (possibly on the next street) and one of the players fold

This would explain the epidemic of players running bankrolls below EV

If anyone can clarify please do

Thanks

This helps immensely ... I see from what you have described here ... what looks like a possible misunderstanding or carry over from NL of mine to avoid playing OOP at all costs .... You have shown me the numbers and made me see that possibly there is another way to look at this in general with equities running much closer together .... looks like I am severely undervaluing medium strength hands in certain spots ... I will watch the videos you suggested plus look to incorporate this into my play ... cant thank you enough

thanks crakl .... shocked to hear the 100bi below ev .... but I guess it takes 2 strong hands to get in there same as any format ..... would you agree then that a more profitable slash less unprofitable  red line is more attainable there then .... thanks

A year ago i played Deep/Ante quite extensively and have lost many of the HH from that period ...

I have recently been playing exclusively ZOOM and running 40bi below EV 70K sample ...

i have made several assumptions when comparing the two structures, although much of the data from the ante games like said is gone ....

- playing deep/ante you are more insulated from "how you are running" due to deeper stacks that get in less often

- the rake has a lesser impact on the game .. making it more profitable ... making it less variant ... allowing you to play higher in terms of units required and risk of ruin

- the potential skill advantage is greater

You thoughts on my assumptions .... agree/disagree .... also what are some potential drawbacks or things i may be missing .... as i have not played any volume of these deep games in almost a year

Thanks

would be totally open to dropping to 50 to see whats what ... but do you feel the rake is beatable that low exclusive of vpp program?

i appreciate this very much .... which pf positional stats should i filter .... the original post at the top has positional stats for me what is that chart missing that i should include .... thanks so much

Sept. 20, 2013 | 7:58 p.m.

i think this thread is an awesome idea ... as soon as i get home i will post my graph ... if it were to get going ... would be great if we can all see any sort of correlation between redline, winnings, std deviation ect ... or maybe we wouldnt but that would be great to see also ... mine looks similar to yours same stakes larger sample ....

Sept. 20, 2013 | 7:19 p.m.

ty so much ... i never thought of it quite like that

I play 2 to 4 tables of Zoom PLO ... I was playing Deep Non Zoom last year and found I was insulated from this below EV stuff but maybe just ran better overall ....

here are my stats filtered at $1 PLO only since ZOOM doesn't look as terrible but same red line issues ... or non issues ... as you have pointed out thanks

Sept. 20, 2013 | 3:20 p.m.

so in my graph would you view red line blue line relationship as a  likely non winning ratio ... is this where I need to focus on  ... full stop no more questions tytytytytytyty

Sept. 20, 2013 | 2:44 p.m.

not to come back at you with so many more questions but there was so much juice in your answer that it just has my mind running ....

are there any tools to help approximate what you said about 50% chance of marginal winning orver certain sample size ... ect

thanks again

Sept. 20, 2013 | 12:37 p.m.

Hey guys .... for the past 2 months I have switched to playing exclusively on stars (from live NL) for a few reasons ...

1) began watching videos and wanted to apply and improve

2) wanted to play PLO

3) wanted to possibly gear up for SNE 2014

since I began I have ran 40 BIs below EV ... I understand EV adjusted and don't require much of an explanation on that ... but I have a few questions ....I would appreciate your insight on the following points ... Thanks so much for anything you can contribute ... please look at the graph below

1) are my overall results to EV EXPOSED meaning my overall results wouldn't be as subjected to how I am running if I perhaps has a more positive red line

2) would I be better off waiting to the turn slash river to get my chips in (vague I know but I hope you can appreciate the strategy adjustment I am suggesting) meaning am I currently pushing too slim of edges on the first 2 streets possibly

I know those points are opposite each other but i dont really know which way to go ... if any way at all

3) my volume is all $1 and $2 Zoom PLO ... is the rake just too large at those stakes to expect much more than break even plus VPP profit and I am simply just running below EV ....

Thanks guys I know this was a lot to get through but I feel like many players may benefit from your answers ....
