Comment | luckykiwi commented on River spot on KTxKx

1) i think i prefer calling w Tx that dont have blockers to his QJ AJ type hands and spade draws, like having AsTx is pretty bad i think, maybe is better to call JTdd than AsTx? what do you think? crev is the way to solve this things i guess :D

2) i definitely want to raise OTT because of his low river cbet freq

ok and if called youd still shove river?

Aug. 21, 2013 | 4:31 p.m.

hey thanks for the quick answer, so:

Preflop: do you think i can just limp call even against a 4x? if he opens 30% shouldnt i treat this spot as if he was on CO and i was on BB? how much equity would you like to have in this spot? what would be the bottom of your limp calling range to get an idea of what youd limpc.

River: i agree with that hes rarely bluffing here, the XR river though seems like a good option too.

I'm trying to implement a limping strategy BvB, I'm shocked at people opening 4x in this spot, but maybe isn't so bad, thoughts? Here I don't have many hands to know how often he calls a 3bet so in game i just guessed he called w anything decent like in a SB vs BTN situation.
Flop (28) 8 5 3 (2 Players)
Hero bets 13, BB calls 13
does anyone XR here?
Turn (54) 8 5 3 9 (2 Players)
Hero checks, BB checks
having a FD now gives me equity but every hand that connected OTF now improved somehow, thats why I opted for a XC rather than a bet. A bet could make him fold his floats though, like Ahighs and random overs+bfd. What about XR?
River (54) 8 5 3 9 2 (2 Players)
Hero checks, BB bets 18, Hero folds
when he checks back the turn i dont think he has many bluffs here to justify a call, even with great pot odds, he has to turn into a bluff hands that he cked back on turn, he could play KQhh JTcc this way for instance. Thoughts?
Final Pot
BB wins 49.14

Aug. 21, 2013 | 10:12 a.m.

Hi sauce, thanks for all the great posts you're making. When you talk about realizing more than 100% of our equity postflop with a certain hand, do you mean we're going to win the pot more often that our "equity vs range" would say? And if so what are the reasons for this, does it depend on position, villain range, our hand strength, etc.? Do you think we can mathematically compute the equity we realize by fixing solving an equation for different frequencies values, like cbet by streets, XF by streets, etc.?

Aug. 17, 2013 | 8:04 p.m.

do you think we need to keep betting around 60% of our flop XR on both streets? I've read something similar in Janda's book, but I'm not sure about it
