Rough start to the challenge, everyone managed to bink their miracle cards. Mental game was 6/10 fairly well today for how things went.

Hello RIO,

This is a blog to keep track of my poker progress, including mental game progress. I currently play 100nl 6max on Pokerstars.

My goal is to be a 400nl reg by the end of the year. I average 6 to 8 tables and I will update with sessions, HH's and mental game notes as recommended in Tendlers book.

Starting bankroll 12k.
I will move up when i have 80bi for the next stake and take 20bi shots.

Poker goals:
-View winning in terms of playing as well as i can every day and not in terms of results.
-15min warm up before each session and minimum 7 hours of poker study per week.
-70 hours of poker per month.
-Follow BRM and move up.

Cool, thanks. The fish was relatively spewy and btn is def capable of isoing wide, although nittier post flop. I ended up betting, fish flats, reg folds and jamming turn 3s.

Def not stopping 3betting with 800bb haha, if you are not comfortable/used to playing so deep you can always start a new table with the player.

There's going to be all sorts of preferences for deep 3betting ranges, personally i think its very player dependent. If he is defending too wide i would be 3betting a merged range/wider range for value and probably including KJo. If he is on the tighter side i may go with a more polarized range and flat KJo.

I think id rather 3b KJo and flat more K9s/J8s vs the player you describe, although id prob 3b all of them from time to time. And if hes not folding to cbets in 3b pots barrel more turns/rivers you have plenty behind

By no means am i planning on cold 4b shipping pre haha, i thought earlier posters misread the situation.

I agree that my 4b is on the smaller side, kind of standard sizing for me vs regs, def can/should be bigger with a fish in the pot.

I'm in BB you like a 4b shove here?

UTG is a fish playing 45/31/6, co is reg 26/20/9 (on the tighter side post flop)and i assume he is 3betting him relatively wide. My stats are 29/22/10 if it is relevant in this case. Whats our play here? is this a standard bet call considering our hand strength + gutter?

SB: $198.00

Hero (BB): $200.00

UTG: $362.20

MP: $228.50

CO: $203.00

BTN: $200.00

Pre Flop: ($3.00) Hero is BB with Q Q

UTG raises to $6, 1 fold, CO raises to $18, 2 folds, Hero raises to $40, UTG calls $34, CO calls $22

Flop: ($121.00) 9 J 8 (3 players)
