Parker Muir
Biography
In 2005, while attending Boston University, Parker Muir began his poker career with a $50 deposit. He attributes a large part of his early success to finding twoplustwo, as well as having a close group of poker friends with whom he could discuss strategy. Unlike many players that experienced Parker's level of success early on, he remained in school and graduated with a degree in finance. He graduated in 2008 and took a job at a consulting company in Boston. But after spending two years in the corporate world, he decided to pursue poker professionally.
It was unfortunate timing for Parker as Black Friday struck just after he left his job forcing him to leave the country to continue playing poker. Since then he's traveled throughout Toronto, London, Croatia, Malaysia and Thailand while spending his summers in Las Vegas for the WSOP. Parker routinely starts games online and as a result, his short-handed game is his bread and butter. He thoroughly enjoys coaching and knows how helpful it has been to his game while coming up the ranks. He is planning to continue the cycle as a coach for Run It Once.
Away from the felt, Parker enjoys traveling, playing basketball, snowboarding, surfing, investing and trying new food.
