I think this hand was played fine, I really like the 3 bet pre with the A7s, btn ranges are pretty wide so I like to mix in some different raising hands to mix up my game. flop I might go for a check call or even a check raise depending on the opponent. The turn was fine too because theres no point leading, if he felt confident enough to bet flop then the turn changes nothing.

Ok the opponent was 39/29 over a small sample size. I want to know if my line was good here until the turn. I play on bovada and I am new to the stake level, but what I have seen is that most of the time 4 bets are big pairs, so I had this in the back of my mind as I played the hand. I put him on TTs+, AJ+, maybe stealing with KQs, A9s+. Also what is you guys 4 bet calling percentage or is it player Dependant? What do you guys think of this, I am having a hard time putting people on ranges in the moment even with the hud. Let me know what you guys think and I will reveal the end of the hand after we discuss it.

That actually makes sense, I probably should have flatted turn and let him hang himself more. I probably got too over anxious

Thanks for the info, what I mean, is the villain ended up having Ah 4h thats what i mean about getting out flopped

I wanted a line check here, wanted to see what the optimal play here. I don't have any info on the opponents I was fairly new to the table. How aggro do you get with AK pre flop against unknown opponents? Also how do you deal with players that play any A and out flopping you, do you raise more pre, but what if that kills your action? Let me know what you guys think about this. Thank you.

I know I am never folding but my question is whats the best way to get the money in when you have a very powerful hand. Do you play it passively and let him hang himself or do play it aggressively?

Nov. 28, 2015 | 12:56 p.m.

This particular player was very loose and rarely folded

I feel I have played this hand very passively, this may be because lately I have been running into the top of players ranges and I felt that I was calling too much. I am just confused how to defend my blind with a decent hand when most players play everything and wont fold to 3 bets, So when I 3 bet and miss the flop I find myself just bluffing most of my hands because I am not sure where I am at in the hand.

I have no information on the villain, I was playing Zone poker on Bovada and I had to go off of feel. Is this an optimal line for an opponent that you have no information on? Line check please, thank you.

Nov. 10, 2015 | 8:57 p.m.

I agree with pm6guy, I don't think the UTG fish is ever limping with QQ or JJ. I would definitely 3bet pre though even with out a lot of information on the fish because he is going to call a lot of worse hands plus you are OOP. I rarely put fish on trips here, I would put his range as weak As, suited overs, and maybe some straight draw combos which I am never folding to. The flop was a good bet, and the turn sometimes they might turn up with trips but most of the time they have draws.
