Post | r1xTer posted in Chatter: Recording a session on mac

Hey Guys,

I have been trying to record a 1 hour session. I tried "snag it" and "camtasia" so far but I am getting huge files. What are you using for recording and/or scaling down afterwards?

Thanks

I would like to have a series on moving up through the zoom micro stakes starting at NL2 then NL5,10 and 25. Most preferably live sessions and/or leakfinder. How do we need to adjust, bankroll management, when can we take shots and so on.

Sept. 11, 2015 | 12:14 p.m.

more videos for micro grinders, NL2/5/10 zoom would be great.

Great video, I love your style of explaining and going through the ranges of villain and hero again and again and again. Its the best practice and its improving my game alot at the moment. Quick question I am playing NL5 at the moment and I RFI 98o, and 97o from the SB and B. Hero didnt and you left it uncommented. We should RFI this, no?

Also 32:10 AK top right, shouldnt we Cbet the flop or delay Cbet the turn to make him fold hands like 44? I would go for a delayed Cbet on the turn as villain could float this flop and the J is definitely hitting our range.

Hi guys, I have been playing on and off for about 9 years but only recreational and first only SNGs. Read a few books, had some coaching, had some nice MTTs results but nothing big. Last few weeks im trying to take it a bit more seriously in cash games. I have the feeling studying cash game theory lets you excell as a poker player in general. So started with 30$ and 5NL zoom on PS and currently taking shots at 10NL zoom. Cameron Couchs videos helped me alot and I am interested in discussing anything on the micro stakes. Cheers and good luck!

Comment | r1xTer commented on C Betting

Hand 1: First off not playing 100BBs at that limit makes villain kinda fishy. Ask yourself what is villains limp/call range from the CO. I would say small pairs, suited connectors, some Ax. Your raise preflop is pretty standard. With a limp/call from the CO this board is maybe not as dry as it seems. He probably has 33s and 44s in his range, 77s he would have probably open raised. Maybe 56, 67, 78, A2, A3, A7 that could have connected. So what does your flop raise accomplish? Would he call with worse? Or are we getting a better hand to fold? Probably not, I would take a float call with his donk on the flop. x/x turn is fine but we are obviously more concerend with the 5 here as it hits villains range. Give up on the river is fine.

Hand 2: Isolation raise versus UTG limp from CO with A3s is maybe a bit wide but probably fine against weaker players. Remember we got 3 more players to act and a 3bet or more then 1 call is not our dream scenario. So B, BB and UTG call. Again think about their ranges, B and BB could easily be on some broadway connectors here. On a flop like this with 3 more players in the hand I dont see how Cbetting could be of value here. I would just give up. Well played.

Nice video, with alot of value. I am interested in your user-defined opening ranges in Equilab. Could you briefly summarized which % opening ranges you have defined for the different positions?

Post | r1xTer posted in Chatter: Tablet or Mobile Symoble on PS

Hey Guys,
quick question, I can not see the symbol for a player using a Tablet or Mobile device on PokerStars. Wasnt there an option to check under 'Table Display' to make it visible?
Thanks for any advice

No raise preflop seems to be the mistake here. Thanks guys :)

Blinds: $0.05/$0.10 (6 Players) BN: $17.43
SB: $10.86
BB: $11.67 (Hero)
UTG: $5.00
MP: $14.35
CO: $65.07
Preflop ($0.15) Hero is BB with 9 9
UTG calls $0.10, 2 folds, BN calls $0.10, SB calls $0.05, Hero checks
I check here to conceal my handstrength, and I dont like my spot when I get 3bet.
Flop ($0.40) 8 9 6
SB bets $0.26, Hero calls $0.26, UTG raises to $1.42, BN calls $1.42, SB calls $1.16, Hero raises to $11.57 and is all in, UTG calls $3.48 and is all in, BN folds, SB calls $9.34 and is all in
SB leads on a semi dry board and I call to keep him in the hand, it gets raised with two callers so the pot is about 5$ now with alot of dead money from my perspective so I shove. SB has 7c5c for the nuts.
Turn ($29.05) 8 9 6 7
River ($29.05) 8 9 6 7 3
Final Pot SB wins and shows a straight, Five to Nine.
BB lost and shows three of a kind, Nines.
UTG lost and shows a pair of Aces.
SB wins $26.97
Rake is $1.27

Thanks guys, some good food for thought. Yes he has all the sets in his range but also two overpairs KK, QQ and AJ, which is unlikely holding two blockers, KJ, QJ plus straight und flush draws and maybe AK, AQ that people are willing to stack off with. With the information that these games are on the nittier site I like the b/f turn. Maybe I need to have him on a tighter range here.
