I'm sure this subject has been broached in the past but I haven't found exactly what I'm looking for.

I basically don't cold call 3bs. It feels like a big leak at times. I've worked on it a little myself but have been unable to form a cogent strategy for readless situations in particular.

Any input on how to think about these spots or links to threads or articles that could help would be much appreciated.

OK, so it's not going to be ongoing content like a typical poker training website. It's going to be a comprehensive (hopefully) and static trainer?

Is there pricing info on this? Maybe it was on the site and I just missed it?

clark116,

I thought you worded your response very effectively. Definitely good stuff to think about. I have been engaging in more range protection moves against the tougher opponents with some success.

I would like to play more HU as I have found that I enjoy it and I think it has been good for my overall game. Unfortunately, on wsop.com in LV, there are no actual HU tables. Hopefully it's something they will be adding in the future.

I appreciate the feedback. This is all stuff I can implement immediately.

Bdon, BigFiszh... Really good stuff. Really well explained. I am ordering Applications momentarily.

I am impressed with the time you guys took. I will definitely be participating more in the forums. Thanks again.

I haven't been on poker forums in forever due to my annoyance with the strat discussion on 2p2. This is my excuse for posting this topic in the wrong thread initially. Anyways...

I am looking for content or help with developing a more nuanced overbetting strategy and for combating overbetting strategies from the better regs I am currently facing.

I play NL100 on wsop.com in LV currently. I start a large portion of the games and am thus having to play a lot more HU. It's gone well for the most part but I do find I struggle v. regs that have an effective understanding of how/when to overbet.

I did a couple quick searches looking for a video series that talked about this in depth but came up empty. If anyone could point me in the direction of a video series or any resource really, that could help with this topic, it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I think that most of the books out there are terrible. There are exceptions, obv. I learned through training sites mostly and RIO is the best I've found so far. As it should be for this price.

I've been playing full-time for the better part of 5 years and still frequently feel like a novice :)

I'm personally defending 97s here the majority of the time. I think you played it fine. I may consider leading river to get value from Jx that may check back here. Just seems like a cooler. NH.

I live in LV and started off by building a roll on UP. The games were good but the software was consistently infuriating. The games began to die down a bit so I  started building a roll on wsop.com. I have played there ever since. I think the software is way better and even though there aren't a ton of games above 1/2, it works fine for me seeing as I usually play 100 anyways.

It's curious to me that people seem to like the UP software. I found it incredibly hard to multi-table above 4 tables. WSOP.com has logged me out a few times but I've found it  to be a much better place to play in general.
