Maybe given the range you have, a big bet makes sense, but intuitively I don't see why 65s would want to big bet here

Maybe because, here you have range advantages , and most important nuts advances (you have more hands that goes stack off than him, like you did) . Also you have equity with double backdoors, 4 outs to double pairs , 3 to trips , and you block set...
But, I think the main concept is the nuts advanced.
(I like much more yours videos than elite videos.)

top hand!, i didn't see your jam, I stopped video and wrote comment... I have the same trouble yet.. maybe the best way is to do the opposite line in my point n.1.... you are top elite coach Tariq Haji

I don't know if I'm correct, but I have two strategies on board 5c9c3d.
1. Check on flop ip. Yes our hand need protection, but not very much. I don't have 3 streets of value, and I like checking with double backdoor...
2. If I bet, I like to use bigger bet.
what do you think? TY very good video, nice work.

I've been playing for 10 years and I have a trivial question. I'm a little ashamed to ask. How do you see the cards folding? is it possible to do it on pt4 after the session on pokerstars?

March 19, 2021 | 3:27 p.m.

yes I locked the same board like in the hand, but all his tendencies... so, now I understand why it didn't work... TY

March 10, 2021 | 8:08 p.m.

if you want to model a player that's gonna spew every street like this, you need to lock their strategy on all 2352 turn*river runouts. You can do it with Pio scripting but it's more trouble than its worth.

yes, I wanted to do this. So there would be a way but it is difficult.
I tried lock flop turn and river but it didn't work, in fact it wasn't realistic.

Comment | Mario V. commented on 50z KJs 3bpt

Bet 33% on flop, 66% on turn, never call river, always check fold. OOP you can't x/call KhJh, you should call on this board fd with showdown value like 9Thh. River is terrible call. -Ev for sure

March 9, 2021 | 1:46 p.m.

Both lines are way too passive imo. You're leaving a ton of value on the table with these passive lines. This is especially true against recreational players that will inevitably call too much.

Respectfully speaking , you should read well before speaking. you did not understand the meaning of the post. You speak as if you have a reg in front of you. And I agree that it would be both hands to bet and not play them passive.
Instead in these two hands we face an aggressive fish.
I'm talking about maximizing profit against randomly playing fish! If I had played standard, I would have won 80 bb less in the first hand with clear second barrel, and 160 BB less in the second.

March 9, 2021 | 1:32 p.m.

To get MAX EV strategy against specific weak player you would need to lock EVERY node in tree because they play often complete opposite of GTO strategy.

I totally agree with you. I tried to lock every node in tree, but solver give me only check raise solutions. This is the main problem! . Can someone try to do that? maybe I miss something, or maybe we don't even need to do it because as you said against the fish you don't need to solver hands.

March 9, 2021 | 1:21 p.m.

sure, position changes ranges, and we all know what to do vs reg on Q52, 9 it's a clear 2 barrel. I am holding different lines against aggressive rec, who have wide pre flop ranges and play random! I made the most profit on both hands. I don't agree with solver, especially in hand 996. Against who bets full range on flop I should check raise, and I think it's no sense, and if I would have done it I would not have taken all this value! Aggro Rec would have bet 3 street with QQ-TT, and folded KQo & marginal hands.

March 9, 2021 | 1:12 p.m.

I know piosolver vs rec should not be used. but i'm not very convinced because with can use large rec ranges, and use node locking)
If I had used GTO strategy I would have won a lot less.
I tried to use the range of the rec, with its tendencies (node locking), in the hand 996r board. But I don't understand why piosolver suggests check/raise flop or turn ... It doesn't seem to make sense to me. I would like to keep inside his bluffs.
Other doubts also on the Q52r hand ... I shouldn't check turn... I have to bet big on flop and turn , and maybe x/fold on river without Kc (depends how aggressive is him)...

March 8, 2021 | 1:54 p.m.

I was looking for a filter to search to see my bluffs made on the river
even the bluffs I could have made.
can someone recommend me something?

Jan. 12, 2021 | 6:26 p.m.

congratulations, beautiful hand played. I had the same reading, but I wouldn't have had the courage to put it into practice.

min 11:36 hand with AdTs, I'm pretty sure we should bet big on the river. Having the ace of diamonds is key here. It polarizes the opponent on a range that is almost never flash draw and very often double pairs or hands that call like pair + blockers (KT for example).

Thanks for the study vs cold callers. I was starting with Pio to see these situations and I really noticed many beautiful things. A bit tricky, because often we should also check raisare on 925r many 9x ... but we are studying to improve ...

Great video. Very good, I'm starting to love you. Could you make us some videos at the zoom which is faster?

I use macbookpro and would like to know if there is a program like table ninja on the market that automatically presses the time back for pokerstars?

very very interesting when Henry explains what we should do against reg that cold call ip. All obviously very true, they 3bet AJo KQo, and cold call KQs JTs 9Ts 99 88 ... so often they have a range that doesn't fold to cbets, but using a check raise strategy for example is an idea that I involuntarily apply but now I would like to study in deep. can anyone add anything about it? I think these are too important concepts

Dec. 15, 2020 | 5:01 p.m.

Yes, so I understood correctly. And thank you very much for the advice regarding piosolver.

Dec. 1, 2020 | 1:56 p.m.

Very interesting video as always, complete with every explanation! I ask two things because with piosolver I still don't quite understand when to bet big on the flop, and often I should. I ask to learn from the best and I hope to ask things in the most constructive and respectful way possible.

min 19.00 KK could be an option to bet big on flop and push on turn? just to simplify the hand. And what do you think instead (like second options) doing the same size on the flop and jam on turn?

Min 26.00 I fully agree with what you say. I wonder, I don't know if I understood correctly, I understand English but not very well, would it be right to check jam if the opponent bet vs missed cbet 1/3 on flop? I'm saying, for example, flop he bets 30 dollars and we jam. I really like doing it, considering only hands 88-to -QQ he has 30 combinations and only this maybe is a good motivation to justify this plan.

Nov. 30, 2020 | 8:09 p.m.

min 38:00 QhTh what do you think about 1/3 size on turn? I like do that just because we maybe have the same effect on folding range, and we are non committed if he jams... I like to use bigger size when I want to call he's push...
min 30.00 JsTs. when I played in position I like to check this combo just because I am going to be less exploitable...

Nov. 30, 2020 | 11:15 a.m.

After reviewing the video three times, I'm ready to humbly apologize. I listened well to what Herny said and saw something on PIOsolver too. I was wrong and I was not constructive. I really hope you accept my apologies @HenryLister.

Min: 11.00 54dd I said `` bet flop and give up '' ... Now the key of the analysis is on the turn ... I don't understand but here I ask for your advice, why on the turn Pio says to do a second barrel with 78dd and 67dd and instead check with 54dd and 9Tdd. This is just help I ask. I'm surprised that by 3barrel on the river the opponent should fold: KQs, KJs, JTs, A3s-a5s, T9s ... And that's right, so many hands will fold. I wasn't expecting this honestly. Great lesson for me.

Min: 23.00 A5dd big mistake here for me. No need to add more. What you said is right, super interesting and I just say thank you ... I was on tilt for the hands seen before, with a cold mind I'm also ashamed of what I commented.

Min: 15:00 AK you explained very well in the comments below so I ask no more.

Only one hands do not continue to understand 😅😅😅.
1) Min: 6:00 KK should be a check flop. I mean I'd check the whole range here. I say this because we have range disadvantage on that board. Clearly if the opponent on the turn after
x / x flop on turn:
-if he donk jam, I'd call it.
-if he bets 1/3 I would call it with KdKx
-if he bets 1/3 i'll jam KK no diamonds.

I don't delete my bad initial post because there is nothing better for a person being questioned than having an apologetic post. Sincerity.

RunItTw1ce overall you are right and I want to take an elite month to see all this.
in all of henry's videos i have seen and learned spectacular things but never entirely out of place. Putting pressure with my hands out of line makes me feel like I'm out of balance. And this is no longer doing the right thing, but experimenting. I don't think it will increase the win rate.
Henry Lister
Ok Henry tomorrow I studied these hands well with piosolver and reviewing the video well. I apologize if I was exaggerated in the comments. I repeat, for me you are an elite coach. I love you and maybe I just need to improve. I can also delete the comment if I am wrong. I believe in you and your videos have led me to increase the winrate.

Nov. 22, 2020 | 7:57 p.m.

Henry you are my favorite coach. I love how you explain and the skills you have. For me you are phenomenal. But I must tell you that in this video you played very badly. In the hands you lost you played like I never expected. I know you are obviously aware of it, but I don't like the phrase '' this is standard ''.
I mean :
Min: 6:00 KK is a check on flop. And on turn in no brain fold!
Min: 11.00 54dd is bet flop and give up
Min: 15:00 AK. Bet flop, bet or give up on turn, never bluff river, like you said with Kc
Min: 23.00 A5dd is a fold preflop. And on flop your bet / push is terrible. The real Henry bet folds or checks calls in this scenario. Maybe you're on tilt.
Min 42:00 I think it should be folded on the river.
Excuse me Henry, just because I have such high regard for you, I have seen all your videos and I have been waiting ten days for you to publish another one a few weeks ago.
But I don't really understand why you made this video! Or I just didn't understand anything about poker.

We shouldn't have calling range on the CO... And I agree because we have regulars on the blinds...
But if we had aggro recs on the blinds like Saturday night or Sunday, can we cold call? I sow at lower stake is more profitable do that and hard to play big pots against aggro drunk peoples :-)

Their advice is to use carbon theme... but it also doesn't work ....
My advice is to disable all settings, and keep graphic low...

Oct. 26, 2020 | 3:15 p.m.

Yes, this is my optimal plan.. against those aggro REC I have profit in my database when I call 3bet oop with hands JJ-TT...
About 4bet oop I like to use your range vs who doesn't call the 4bet.
Because they are calling my 4bet with specular hands, the solution maybe will be to 4bet strong Broadway suited like AQs,AJs KQs, KJs, also, I'm not sure A5-A3s but just to use in bluff catching mode...
what do you think?

They doesn't fold to 4bet... I like to use 4betting polar against who fold or push.
Because they are calling more than 5 betting, here start my incertitude whit hands JJ-TT

In low frequncy around 20%, I like to flat also oop KK,AA... seems work very well

Oct. 20, 2020 | 10:50 a.m.

Hello everyone. I often have at the tables 50 zoom, aggro reg that 3 bet 11-13% btn vs co & mp & and utg ...
My standard strategy is to call oop, and I make a profit by viewing my history in database.
However, I notice that they fold to 4bet 35-45%. It means they are calling 4bet with hands like 99-77, JT, KJ, A3-A5s etc. Did I 4bet and play flop vs worse hands, and fold to their AK-QQ + push?
Or do I keep calling 3bet oop as I almost always do?

Oct. 19, 2020 | 2:57 p.m.

Min: 33:59 Why do you think villains check raise is bad strategy? I sow on PIO we should check raise AA,KK when we 3bets and comes boards drowy and low. it's not correct?
