Post | Degradavais posted in NLHE: 10NL Study Group start-up

Been following a lot of recent threads regarding studygroups of 50NL+
I am currently beating 10NL for 9bb/100.
I feel like moving up from 10NL to 25NL is one of the bigger steps in small/microstakes.
Is anyone interested in a studygroup for these stakes?

Main goal of this studygroup will be:

  • Reviewing Handhistories
  • Discussing ranges
  • Exploiting population
  • Be able to share your mistakes/badbeats with other likeminded players instead of your girlfriend
  • Help eachother move up trough stakes

If interested, reply below or send me a PM.

In case a few of you are interested, I'll start a discord channel today! (or any other platform, let me know if you have ideas)

Happy to hear from you

did someone end up making a video like this? :)

I think he means the more often a spot comes up like bu vs bb on dry board the more often we bet 1/3 pot cbet, and if a spot is less comon we bet 3/4 with top of range

Yeah however, simple, often occuring spots dont get posted often imo.
For example facing cbet raises, ranges to flat 3bets pre oop etc. I feel like these are massive fundamentals I might improve on but not sure how to approach this.
E.g. I used Peter Clarke's book TGM to construct ranges vs 3bets regarding not folding more than 55%(?). But can't figure out the optimal ranges for flatting oop and can't find a whole lot about this topic

This I why I loving sharing HH's, been doing it since this week.
Did not want to bother people at first but it really helped me.
Exactly what you are saying: we are generating money by 3betting pre, but it did not occur to me that when he calls, he actually has a really strong range.

Also, the entire hand I was just focused on making him fold weaker aces.
So I totally agree with bigger sizes as played.

In-game I was just trying to make him fold these hands, and we picked up a flushdraw along the way, not considering everything else you mentioned.

Thank you for input and time, really helpfull!

Hand History | Degradavais posted in NLHE: River barrel?
Blinds: $0.05/$0.10 (6 Players) BN: $11.64
SB: $11.96 (Hero)
BB: $10.00
UTG: $10.09
MP: $10.74
CO: $10.00
Preflop ($0.15) Hero is SB with 7 9
3 folds, BN raises to $0.20, Hero raises to $0.70, BB folds, BN calls $0.50
BN has a fold to 3b % of 80 over 220 hands, tight reg in BB.
Flop ($1.50) 3 A K
Hero bets $0.80, BN calls $0.80
Range bet?
Turn ($3.10) 3 A K 4
Hero bets $1.80, BN calls $1.80
Figured he'd still call weak aces, kings and clubdraws, wich (I think) we should be able to make him fold on a lot of rivers
River ($6.70) 3 A K 4 5
Hero bets $3.20, BN calls $3.20
Clubdraw misses, we have better Ax and Kx, we block diamond draws. Isn't this the perfect river barrel?

Blinds: $0.05/$0.10 (6 Players) BN: $10.00
SB: $10.00
BB: $18.16
UTG: $12.06 (Hero)
MP: $9.02
CO: $43.89
Preflop ($0.15) Hero is UTG with J A
Hero raises to $0.30, MP folds, CO calls $0.30, 3 folds
Standard open, bottom of range
Flop ($0.75) T 9 K
Hero bets $0.25, CO calls $0.25
cbet was standard for me, however I just put in his range in equity calc and not doing good against it (35%)
cbet size questionable as well
really dislike my play here
Turn ($1.25) T 9 K 2
Hero bets $0.83, CO calls $0.83
we have no spades, so he picks up those outs as well. very bad T cbet
River ($2.91) T 9 K 2 Q
Hero bets $2.70, CO raises to $14.89, Hero calls $7.98 and is all in
hit the nut straight, however flush also comes in
he jams, in-game was thinking I beat all jacks. not considering he would not jam those jacks except flushes.
Final Pot UTG lost and shows a straight, Ten to Ace.
CO wins and shows a flush, King high.
CO wins $23.18
Rake is $1.09
he has TJs

Def don’t start betting on this river when you had 2 clear streets of value

April 24, 2020 | 11:10 a.m.

Filter says whenever I 2bet, and then fold to a 3bet, I overall lost 277bb/100.
But I see what you mean, in no position did this occur more often then 100 times.

It's just that I'm losing whenever I call 3bets pre overall

April 23, 2020 | 10:47 p.m.

1) that’s mainly the reason I made this thread:
I filtered my pt4 database on calling 3bets preflop, and I am significantly losing in these spots.(-550bb/100)
I actually wanted to cut out small PP’s and SC’s to ramp this up a bit.
You’re saying I should call more? What range of hand would you suggest to do that with in general?
Also, maybe the fact that it's 10NL, they're not 3betting light as much as they do in 50NL+? I might be wrong on this

2) cbet call% too high or too low?

And no I’m actually running a few stacks below EV :)

Thanks for your time!

15bb pot perfect, was scrolling trough so much small hands gave me a headache.
Yeah i'm tagging the hands in spots I find difficult, and review them the next morning before I start my session. I don't feel like doing this after a session as my mind is kinda depleted after playing 4k zoom hands :)

Can't make it bigger it'll fuck up the graphics

April 23, 2020 | 8:08 p.m.

Hi guys,

Can someone review these stats that I played at 10NL?
Might be very low stakes for everyone out there but I'm taking my game serious and I'm about to move up to 25NL.

Any advice would be very much appreciated! I am a bit worried about my call R Cbet as this is way off.

Also, I'm trying to review my hands and filter hands trough my PT4 database.
Does someone have good tips for this? E.g. I just studied 3,5 hours on calling 3bets oop preflop, using all the hands I have collected in this spot.

Once again, thank you!
