This is super interesting thanks for sharing. What software did you use to plot this data or was this a personal project?

July 14, 2021 | 8:42 p.m.

Thanks for working through that. I think my pool is more on the nitty side but semi often after an iso they tend to squeeze a little wider. If I had just RFI and the action went the same way I would be inclined to fold but even in this case its a little marginal.

July 13, 2021 | 2:37 p.m.

I just looked in GTO wizard and it suggests to triple with Kings that don't block the heart draw, it also is mostly checking T but if you do bet it suggests to overbet at a higher frequency then betting 2/3 pot. You would have to be a better player than me to interpret these results but thought I would share anyway.

That red line is dope, nice work

Blinds: $0.05/$0.10 (6 Players) BN: $10.56 (Hero)
SB: $11.85
BB: $10.10
UTG: $7.54
MP: $9.70
CO: $3.89
Preflop ($0.15) Hero is BN with J J
2 folds, CO calls $0.10, Hero raises to $0.38, SB folds, BB raises to $1.30, CO calls $1.20, Hero calls $0.92
9 bigs to win 15 seems like a fine call since he can squeeze against my iso pretty wide. GTO wizard suggests a 4b most of the time what do you guys think at 10nl?
Flop ($3.95) 3 6 6
BB bets $1.24, CO folds, Hero calls $1.24
Pretty standard, I'm never folding for this price. The flop benefits his range and maybe he's blocking flush draws with an Ah. Do pocket pairs I beat bet bigger here for protection?
Turn ($6.43) 3 6 6 7
BB bets $7.56 and is all in, Hero calls $7.56
So its a bit gross given the size of the pot. I probably am breaking even with a call but if he's nailed a boat with the 7 then fine. 88/99/TT might jam to protect against the FD or a naked A Q or K, of course QQ, KK and AA have me crushed. Theres some overs with a heart and maybe thats enough combos I beat to call this off? Although I'm most likely not up against a balanced range. In the moment I decide to call and I think the play is OK vs a gto opponent according to GTO wizard but yea its 10nl so do you guys fold here or play earlier streets more aggressively and coax out the jam before being pot committed? Other thoughts?
River ($21.55) 3 6 6 7 K
Final Pot BN lost and shows two pair, Jacks and Sixes.
BB wins and shows two pair, Aces and Sixes.
BB wins $20.58
Rake is $0.97

OK thanks, its good to know its not such a bad play on this flop but I think I need to include this thought process for different flops since its apparent I just have a pure strategy here with little nuance.

Blinds: $0.05/$0.10 (6 Players) BN: $10.58 (Hero)
SB: $9.65
BB: $10.25

Preflop ($0.15) Hero is BN with A J
3 folds, Hero raises to $0.20, SB folds, BB raises to $0.87, Hero calls $0.67
I checked out the ranges in preflop guru and the raise and call seems fine. I'm normally min raising the button but not sure if this could be adjusted.
Flop ($1.79) 2 7 6
BB bets $1.13, Hero calls $1.13
I don't really know why I call here when its probably a good spot to raise and put pressure on Ax hands that have equity. Of course pocket pairs are calling. I think my logic was he will not believe me and somehow get the read I will have exactly the kind of hand I have but its pretty illogical. There's a lot of hands that hit this flop and my range has a lot of equity against him so putting pressure on and making him play a large pot OOP would be beneficial for me. If I'm up against AA or KK I assume he'll let me know.
Turn ($4.05) 2 7 6 4
BB bets $2.55, Hero calls $2.55
I think this call is terrible and probably based on the way I played the hand in the previous street. I can still hit the flush although implied odds are low since I assume pairs will check fold or blocker bet fold. I didn't pull the trigger on a raise here because I didn't think I would get the credibility. Since made hands on the flop would raise and 4c doesn't help my draws.
River ($9.15) 2 7 6 4 Q
BB checks, Hero checks
When he checks here its pretty obvious he has pocket pairs and has SD value. I don't think my line is credible and feel like I would get snapped off. I block the hearts so IDK what he would bluff the previous two streets with.
Final Pot BB wins and shows a pair of Tens.
BB wins $8.74
Rake is $0.41

Thanks, that's super helpful and exactly the kind of thinking I want to habituate and apply to a number of spots

Thanks for the feedback!

June 6, 2021 | 5:27 a.m.

Thanks for the feedback, so if I sized it down to say 1-1.20 but then still pot the T and shove river that line still works with v having roughly a 70% pot to call river? Or with this spr do I bet smaller and call a jam?

June 6, 2021 | 5:27 a.m.

Blinds: $0.05/$0.10 (6 Players) BN: $16.82
SB: $28.59 (Hero)
BB: $11.07
UTG: $11.10
MP: $11.71
CO: $23.81
Preflop ($0.15) Hero is SB with 9 9
2 folds, CO calls $0.10, BN folds, Hero raises to $0.50, BB calls $0.40, CO calls $0.40
Quite happy to iso the CO I labeled as a rec as he was under the full buy in a previous session. When CO calls I range him pocket pairs lower than QQ, suited broadways, suited aces, maybe AKo. Maybe he flats QQ though I'm not sure...
Flop ($1.50) T A 9
Hero bets $1.40, BB calls $1.40, CO folds
Middle set is nice, but the board is quiet wet so I size up my bet to capture flush draws, two pair, TPGK.
Turn ($4.30) T A 9 7
Hero bets $3.90, BB calls $3.90
When he calls he's either crushing me with TT or AA if he wanted to play tricky preflop. I'm ahead of flush draws, 2p, 77 that didn't believe me although this is unlikely, and suited broadways. I size it up again since its still draw heavy and I feel like I can get value from a lot of hands.
River ($12.10) T A 9 7 Q
Hero bets $12.72, BB calls $5.27 and is all in

I second this. I was spinning my wheels at 2 and 5 nl and moved up before being rolled for the higher stakes but quickly found, at least at the normal tables, that there were just enough fish donating to your roll and the regs were better to refine my game against.

Hey man totally get the mental drain with the lockdowns. Looking back I wish I had spent more time studying up during the lockdown but its actually not so realistic since the lack of balance in your life due to the restrictions has a toll on your energy levels and clarity. Summer coming and Europe is opening back up so I think things will be turning round soon. Sweet results though I look forward to more updates!

Hi first post here was hoping for a bit of feedback on this hand.

$0.10/$0.20 Blinds No Limit Holdem - *

* Dealing down cards *
Hero dealt [ Ac, As ] on BTN
UTG limps
HJ limps behind
Hero raises [$0.80] (probably could of made this 1-1.20)
Blinds fold
UTG calls [$0.60]
HJ calls [$0.60]

Pot 2.70
* Dealing flop * [ 5h, 3s, 6h ]
UTG checks
HJ checks
Hero bets [$1.78]
UTG raises [$5.34] (13.86 behind, I have him covered)
HJ folds
Hero raises all in

The pot size is 9.80 after his raise leaving about a pot sized bet behind if I were to call and see a turn. I unblock his flush draws and there are many combos of straight flush or straight with backdoor flush etc.

He ended up with a set in this situation but then went broke a few rotations later check raising and calling off with weak draws. I´m pretty sure I continue (although happy to hear thoughts on folding) but not sure if it makes sense to call or jam. I often find myself in these spots and am not sure whether I am just justifying getting it in bad with an over on a draw heavy board vs a player with a wide range of hands they are drawing or overvaluing.

Also apologies for hand history format I couldn`t get the ROI hand history converter to work for some reason.

Also just subscribed after reading this thread and really liking it. I have been using poker snowie on the way to work and back to practice but preflop guru looks better for visualizing ranges and snowie only does 6max on the mobile app version.
