I don't have much to add to the really good stuff that's posted above about grinding these stakes. But things I've noticed from my experiences this time (as opposed to the previous one's where I've always busted out after 30-50k hands) is:
1. I've come around appreciating playing PLO .01/.02: the sums are pretty insignificant, and you aren't really playing for the glamour or the glory, but when you take it seriously and get to the point you can beat it for 15-20bb/100 it can really help with confidence starting out.
2. They've usually go it when they say they do. Seriously. And if they haven't the bet size will usually give you a very good clue.
