Hello,
We can't see the EV of the plays ?
As well sometimes when i have a spot on the flop, i don't really care if its correct or wrong, i would just like to explore the entire game tree and further streets to understand and improve.
But when i practice it stops straight after each decision making and than it changes spots ...
Am i missing smg ?

do you have a range of 4b bluff pré ? i feel like i have never seen you do so. low Axo that you fold pre v 3b seems fine,

hi nice vid,
i am surprised you didnt valuebet A9 river on 972 3 4, he has so much 7x (most likely) and 9x one pair hands that play that way, and as you mention not too many 2pairs combos (2 pairs flop would have c/r most likely because of his c/r freq, we are only beat by 93s 94s 73s 74s and SO many 7x/9x offsuit hands, it seems not even close to me,

moreover as he c/r a LOT on flops, he should expect you to punish his ch/calling range by barreling a lot post, therefore 70%pot or overshove river seems reasonable

Comment | WATCHTHEEE commented on Calling From the BB

hi, i understand rising your vpip bb v other positions by flatting, but Acxo (last hand)looks like a perfect hand to be c/calling w, especially when many players from the pool tend to pot control too much w their made hands, and especially when your goal is to increase you bb defense,
i would rather c/r QcTo and by doing so, increasing my vpip on flop
i feel like if you c/r this hand, you are ch/folding too much on this board or c/raising too much

i saw few c/r flush on monotone boards, what would be your bluffs on that board ? don't you think ch/calling flop as a std would protect your ch/calling range (i guess you may overfold turns and river on monotone boards when you get barreled ?)

interesting vid,
thanks

hello, interesting vid,
don't you feel overfolding to 3bets pré (63s; 74s, 84s for ex) 100-130deep agasint these small sizings?

April 20, 2015 | 2:09 a.m.

hello phil,

at 45min when youTT74ccc on K54hoo Th, do you think he could be making an exploitable bet pot/fold with a J542 type hand ? knowing he is almost drawing dead against 90%+ of your turn raising range (most better made hands) and flipping against the rest (pair+combo draws i guess ?)

the thing is he shouldn't expect too many calls from pair+fd or pair+gs+fd taking this sizing w this spr river, so maybe potting 2pairs isn't that appealing

April 14, 2015 | 5:07 a.m.

the AQcc hand, you keep saying J8cc J2cc, Jxcc in the bb range, common, he can have JcTo type hands (Tc6o, 8c6o, QcTo, QcJo etc etc that was semi bluffing turn et goes for ch/decide river)
nice vid

hey phil, i can't watch the end of the vid, is it a bug from me only ?
the AAxx hand vs nimzon in which you 3b IP vs EP and bet 1800 in 5kish with a 1.3 spr or so, do you really think you have a bet/fold range w that spr ? dont you think you should be potting your continuing range ? (i kind of see too many players having a sizing tell when nutted w low spr like this, bet really too small w nuts and potting the rest of their continuing range)
your AAxx hand BvB against ilari, agreed on what you said about the ch/fold turn
nice vid

Comment | WATCHTHEEE commented on Principles of ICM

agreed, really lack in icm theory here as well, other videos on the topic would be appreciated !
i don't know exactly how shoving range are affected at the bubble of a tourney

in hu, don't you think 4betting K9o is spewy ?
i mean you are flipping in term of equity more or less against a polarized range (you are even often better as people tend to have too much bluff pre w this strategy) and flat most of there Ax pre, so if he does so it's a clear call to me, in position
against a non polar strategy, you will often have to fold you equity vs a 5b jam, or play a 4b pot w a hand that may have approx 35% against his range,

i feel like playing 3b pots IP w most of our range is the way to go, i may be wrong
if you decide to 4b i would rather choose hands that have way less equity against his range (94hh for ex) or better equity that i intend to 4b/call especially if he's the kind to stackoof too light pre vs 4b

i liked a lot your sh game, i lack a lot in this format, it was very interesting

midori, it's interesting what you are asking, but a bit too much questions for 1vid or too long how you asked them, try to be shorter next time, just my opinion,

hello, great series, i love your sh and fr game, but i really feel you miss a lot in hu game, i'll just point out few things i disagree on :
- snap folding A7o vs 3b (vs european), it's an easy call (or 4b if you don't feel like it)
- snaping overall (always consider something) because when you tank + have big sizing its so more likely you are value beting than when you are snap folding or betting quickly 1/4 pot (on the KKJ board you cb 1/4 pot, he calls, turn goes ch/ch and he bets and you fold), i don't know what he had, but i really think its very likely he floated oop
- snap foling Q6o vs minraise (with antes its an easy defend 25deep+)
- minraising/folding or calling 13deep is ok sometimes, but having a limping range is good as well
- not enough 3b 25 deep+ (too much towards value)
- playing too much your hands overall, not enough putting pressure in different spots
- A8 was a reshove or a call on his overbet (dont know what he had but pretty sure he lied you,) with DP+ he would consider taking max value and not taking such an overbet in a spot where you fold 95%+ of your range vs his line

anyway vgg, great run,

Hello, i really like how you play short handed, but i am really skeptical about your hu game

I agree not defending to wild against someone who will steal your equity quite often but still, defending vs minraise (+ antes !) J6cc is mandatory, (Kxo, 34hh, 83dd, folding is fine against this type of opponent even if i would still prefer a flat)

concerning 3b, you said that you were folding bottom Ax and 4b shoving better Ax (4bet/folding A8o as well) type hands 30-40deep vs 3b. I really dont see the point folding A8o and calling JTo (as you mentionned) A8o is an easy call to a 3b against an agressive 3bettor, and if he is not aggressive enough to call A8o, then he is not agressive enough to reshove A9s...

I agree w your flop ch/fold 74hh on T97 cause it plays really really poor against his turn barreling range, but T9o on AQT is very different and much more easy call, i mean he will not barrel off without equity (76 type hands or whatever) there are plenty hands his has to shut down turn to make the flop call profitable, on T97 its different because he can actually barrel some turns with very low equity if he is agressive.

coming to the 25deep game when he was short, its profitable to openshove Axo 25deep, to 3b shove JQo and Axo 25deep etc, but it is not optimal, you should be defending your bb much wilder, and no reshove as much, you can actually 3b (with a size) as weird as it appears w a balanced range

i really disliked the 3b 87cc against this 4bettor guy and the flat K2o on J53 with no equity against someone who barrels

though i really like the hands you were checking back flops and the one you were deciding to cb

After all, i don't really mind beeing on the weaker side against him as he appeared to be folding to much to your steals, and putting too much money (in 4b pots) and postflop by Cbetting and barreling way to often

Anyway i learnt a lot on 6-3max and agreed w pretty much all decisions you made
