Post | ezzieweb posted in MTT: QJo on BU in 3way pot

Hi Guys, played this hand today and wanted to hear your thoughts on it.
The tournament is a 22$ bounty builder, it was either just before or just after the money.

Hero has QhJd on the BU. Effective stack is 30bb

CO (22/16) minopens, Hero calls, SB folds, BB (23/17) calls

The flop comes 7hTc5h, everyone checks

Turn: Th, BB bets 1/2 pot, CO folds, Hero calls

River: 5c, BB bets 1/3, Hero?

First question would be if prefolp is fine. Second, on the river I can see all 3 options here, hero calling vs 98, 86, 64, bluff shoving to fold a seven (in case I didnt raise a T on turn, if that would ever make sense), or just folding.

Thanks for your thoughts.

What irritates me is villains big raise. Would he ever do that with TPGK?

Post | ezzieweb posted in NLHE: Pokerstars or Partypoker?

Hey Runitonce Community (I hope this is the right place for this thread),

my name's Ezra, I recently started playing poker again after years of hibernation. I made a deposit on Pokerstars and made some money through a tournament (although my main focus is cash games). Just now I watched the video "My Best Advice to a Low Stakes Grinder" by Luke Johnson where I learned that Partypoker actually has a significantly lower rake at low stakes, so I withdrew my Pokerstars money and made a deposit on Partypoker. It was only afterwards that I discovered that you can't run a HUD on PP because the client doesn't save hand histories, which obviously sucks (I read somewhere that there may be dubious methods of getting a HUD running on PP, is that true?). My question now is if you guys think that the lower rake compensates for that fact, or if I'm better off returning to Pokerstars.
I am looking forward to your answers, and I'm happy to become an active member of this community. If you guys have any other advice how to become a solid winning player, I'd appreciate it. Unfortunetly I'm not really a tech geek, so I don't know how to upload hands etc. in the forum (which doesn't work anyway if I'm playing on Partypoker, right?)
Best regards,

Ezra

Hero bets 10,971, MP2 raises to 24,000, , Hero ?

Villain was playing 25/13 on 24 hands, no 3bet thus far.

What do you guys think? Should I be calling the raise to keep in the weird bluffs he might have, or just shove it in?

Hey Guys,

I'm a fairly inexperienced player and was wondering what kind of hands can be shoved from earlier positions profitably (for 10-15 bb), since I struggle with that issue. For an example, take this hand:

MP3: 9,137 (22.8 bb)
CO: 29,238 (73.1 bb)
BTN: 11,871 (29.7 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with J:spade: K:diamond:

Would you shove that?

Great Job analyzing your mistakes, I learnt alot from it. Thanks for that. But it's unfortunately we don't get to see how poor Phil busted :( anyway, gg and very nice run.

Hey Espen, thanks for the great videos, can't wait to see the continuation of your deeprun in the Sunday Million / FTOPS. Btw, what did 75th pay in the Bigger $55?

Hey Owen,  thanks for the videos, really enjoyed them + they are very instructional. One off-topic question: how do you get these pop-ups that just show the sample-size of the respective stat? I can't seem to find the option in Holdem Manager.
