I've deciding on putting some money on this site but haven't found anything really about it on the net.  Anyone play on here? How are they with cashouts?  I've also heard there are may bots on the lower stakes games.  Any info would be great

So how does a +EV/good  player win at PLO? In one sense, it sounds like you're saying its random variance selection to certain players more so than others.  Or mass volume (millions of hands) will determine in the long run whether you're beating the stakes or not, irregardless of how weak the competition?

basically my intent is (was) to hit n run on on what would be 4+buyins on my regular stakes.  it could also be the autonomy of just seeing the same figures reoccurring w/o the occasional large quick gain.  i've also seen a few regs at my stakes short stake higer ones, which is what made me curious

Post | scarsdalevibe posted in Chatter: Over 6hr Session No Breaks

Anyone else have these same ''symptoms'' as me, when you put in mass volume but are never up at the end, or if you are, only very little, regardless how well you play.  here I was up almost 10BIs the first 1k hands and instantly went on a quick stretch of runbads which seem to always happen at those times when i continue playing.  I'm starting too get suspicious or delusional.

Nov. 3, 2013 | 8:31 p.m.

I was wondering if I should experiment by short stacking the PLO200 400 games w/ 40 or 50bbs.  Has anyone considered this or does anybody do it?  its easy but tedious to constantly grind the same stakes especially during break even stretches.  Just wondering is it worth the try?  Though i am close to getting Supernova and haven't used any of my bonuses at all which will make for an incredible pay day when I do get prolly beginning next month which will almost triple my roll.

What is this bullshit? lol  My EV has done more than just catch up, it went on a turbo drive increase with nos.  I don't even want to discuss the repeated, relentless 15% or less villain equity which has left me 2 broken mouses for my laptop.  I'm more interested in how players with a huge edge at their stakes handle such stretches, when you know you should be rewarded for your consistent''dominating'' play as well as not playing with ''accumulated tilt'' even through the worst of bad beats.   This is not my 1st time running horrid, but these stretches just get flat out annoying to the point of not wanting to play.  Any comments on those who endure these sessions and what has come after them?  How has it affected your play, etc?

Oh, ok.  That sucks.  And VPPs are like the worst form of rakeback I've encountered.  Thx for responding.

lol so true.  I have these idiotic moments of drunken stupor or mental idleness where I decide to spazz my BR because I'll win it back again later.  It has caused numerous setbacks but Im contempt to not give in to my moronic stubbornness, tho however tempting ;-)

Post | scarsdalevibe posted in Chatter: All in EV

How reliable really is all in EV?  I'm noticing several crucial factors which are neglected by how all in ev is calculated.  For one, it doesn't apply to multiway pots, in which it isn't hardly affected when you win but still get punished when you lose.  Also, when your eq is 80+ on turns and you get sucked out on the river with a quarter pot or less stacks left and you're forced to shove/call jam which cripples your aiEV.  These are just some from the top of my head and I'm really suspicious about how reliable all in EV is as a measurement of how well you're playing because it neglects crucial factors.  I understand it's implication and how its calculated but imo, its not living up to what it's meant to be.  Any comments regarding this and what would be/is a better measurement tool that you're playing optimally (not GTO sense)

Hey guys, take a look at my graph and try not to laugh.  I had a relapse moment where I had a few too many drinks going out and when i came back I decided to play maniacal. Playing ever hand with near 100% aggression.  As you can see this crippled me. lol  But my HUD doesnt tell it all because I won 1.7k on sit n gos, which it didnt track, so I only blew all my cash game winnings and a bit more.  After a week of slow steady grinding back on .10 .25 deep ante PLO, I've won back 800$ but my all in ev looks atrocious and its bothering me since it only looks like that due to my maniacal session.  Is there any way this catches up?

Post | scarsdalevibe posted in Chatter: Other Euro Sites to Play

Hey guys,  enjoy playing on Stars for the obvious action but was curious to know what other reputable Euro sites are out there?  I know of some but has anyone any personal exp. with them? Im very hesitant to put 1.5k into William Hill, 888 poker, etc.  because I dont know anyone on there and haven't heard anything praiseworthy about the other sites outside of Stars and FTP.

Sept. 13, 2013 | 8:18 a.m.

Ahh missed the obvious.  Every time you lose a pot on flop, turn, river your EV goes down.  If you fold in a big 3bet pot on turn, for example, the amount you lost will go down the same amount in EV and green line.

Sept. 9, 2013 | 12:40 p.m.

Thanks guys.  So equity is basically part of the equation to answer your all in expected value.  Makes a lot more sense now.

Jonna, could you elaborate further on what you mean if you lose a lot before showdown?  Does that also imply getting stacks in prior to showdown? Or just not making it enough to showdown? or both

Post | scarsdalevibe posted in Chatter: All in EV question

OK, I understand what it is but at times I really question what its calculating.  Just last session I finished moderately up in winnings but pretty big down in All in EV.  I know I was playing very well regarding all in spots looking at the cards going in, despite a set over set cooler in 3bet pot.  When I checked my HUD after all my all ins were between 60 to 88 yet I it said I was down -80+.  I really don't understand it.   Anyone has any info on this?

Sept. 8, 2013 | 2:44 p.m.

How did he not accomplish anything here?  If anything, it shows how quickly you can move up in stakes.  A high sample size at the softest games only means that you've been stuck there a bit too long and you might have to reassess your game plan.  25k hands is enough unless you're suffering sever variance.  There is a difference when a capable player moves down in stakes than one who has just started and is on his first heater showing graphs to prove he is successful.

I am currently playing PLO25 and am just destroying the stakes after not having played since last December.  I did similar like jonna, but started with 200$ on sit n gos and as of today my BR is just under 2k (no rakeback).  This has taken me less than 3 weeks to do.  not because a lucky streak, or heater but due to correct decision making and implementing a strategy which I find to work very efficiently at these stakes.  Basically what I'm saying is the guy who has a strategy in hand and is aware of its implications and willing to modify it based on certain barriers will always succeed.  Otherwise his strategy is flawed and needs to be changed. By the way, there was also another guy who made a prop bet for 30k playing the lowest limits to see if he can win 10k in 2 weeks, and he did.  Again as jonna already pointed out, any successful high limit player can do the same as what he has shown here.

And I'm sure the guy who was down 350 buyins under all in EV was never a big winner.  In fact, your whole post screams provocation.

I thought I'd share here as well since it is in the micros and i started w/ 200$ but didn't start playing 6-max until I got up to 900$.  It was all HU Deep PLO Sit n Go#s which I recommend to any micro grinders looking for quick, easy cash.

This is
PLO25 my first week's play.  Some of them are the ante games but the
majority is standard 100bb.  Ante games don't run often and its mostly
100bb stacks anyway.

I'd also like to share my stop/win
method which has worked out for me for quiet some time. Basically when I
get up a certain amount that I'm comfortable with I quit, regardless if
it happens right at the beginning of the session or after a 3 handed
all in I end up winning.  Even if its just a buy in or 150bb and my mood for poker diminishes, I instantly quit.  Conversely, even when I'm up significantly and I feel like continuing, I don't.  I'm here to make money, not to have endurance rally.

Also my stats are on the high end of aggression, which for me seem to work out better than the TAG approach, though I do tighten up when 4+ players are constantly seeing a flop.    45.4/31.0/10.3 and 53.7/100bb.   The players play such a fixed strategy I feel I can exploit them with pure aggression which is also why my non showdown is only -38$.  This is also mainly due to me being a HU player first and I can spot tendencies quicker.

Just a question on All in EV.  Twice in the middle and near the end where you can see the green line shoot up but the orange stays the same.  On both of those occasions I got it in +EV, especially in one 3way pot where I had 53 equity against both of them but when I checked graph later on, I was surprised my EV didn't follow my winnings line.  Can anyone explain this.

Post | scarsdalevibe posted in Chatter: Pokerstars Taking Money?

I've noticed that almost every time I finish a session in a cash game and I sit out with out paying any blinds or antes, yet when I close those tables I always lose about .50, sometimes more.  I have my cashier open purposely for this reason because I want to keep track of it.  Sometimes it doesn't happen but for the most part it does.  And it is always after I have put no money in any pot, blind ante included, yet still they keep taking money from me.  I close all the tables and then where it says in play, there's always around .25 to .50 remaining.   I thought maybe you have to pay the BB when you leave a table, regardless of where you are, but sometimes ti doesn't happen at all.  Is this some kind of scam or what?

Post | scarsdalevibe posted in Chatter: Micro Deep Ante Question

Hi all, I'm new to this site.  i used to be a member on Bluefire when Phil was there and now am aware of this, what looks like, an amazing site.  I have question regarding .10 .25 Deep Ante PLO games: are they worth playing?  I have run up my BR to 1k playing HU deep PLO sit n go's (in which I was basically printing money) but when get into some deep 6 max action.  Just wondering if those games are profitable due to the added ante plus the rake.  I want to continue playing HU sit n gos because they are such an easy profit that I feel like I can get my roll up to 2k in no time: should i instead do that and play the .25 .50 deep ante games?  Any advice would be great.
