Whats the purpose of this thread? Its all anon so it has to be near impossible to prove anything. I have some inside source in the matter and can confirm there is cheating going on.

Would be interesting to hear like some list of knowledge you learned over the year from being a pro. It's relatively few that have been around for as long as you so you should have some wisdom for us else that came up later or are coming up right now.

1) fold
2) fold
3) Close, some kind of mix i would imagine. Im going to guess 50/50 or if i had to chose one or the other i would say always open.

Interesting how much people seem to be love in with 43s lol, that hand is garbage.

Cobra Kai, you are watching nl25 videos according to your history of posts here at RIO. I dont think anyone in here consider you qualified to judge Nick at all.

Whats the reason for your smaller 3bet size? I was under the impression that BB should be 3betting along the lines of 5x the SB raise, it seems like this was what most were doing for a while including you and also what the solvers recommended.

Excited to watch, about time run it once stepped it up, the latest losses and new coaches have been a joke.

Nov. 10, 2017 | 7:57 p.m.

I liked the SB vs BB idea.. Also would be fun to see overcalling / squeezing multiway from the BB. Thats something I tend to struggle with myself when im short-stacked. Maybe run a filter in Hm2 on this spots and just mark some hands you find interesting. These type of videos seems to get a lot of love when Gogols'nose makes them.

Your welcome! There is other ways of accessing this information if you have HM2/PT you can filter yourself. If you know any players you can ask them to filter. Seems pretty basic to me that you should put more money into the pot when you have a good hand. Even my grandma knows that.

Aces is not a coldcall in a anonymous enviroment. Statistics shows it shouldnt even be a cc in regular games.

Comment | sweet16 commented on Add Podcasts to RIO?

I'm not sure you noticed but gandalf is busy trying to create a poker site meanwhile maintaining being the best coaching site. Im very sure RIO crew has plenty on their plate right now, they probably dont need to add new things to the site.

Also a lot of those podcasts are very mediocre and its pretty hard to compete with joeingram

Good post..

@Artur I mean scroll up, I called him out litterally first comment in the thread. For unknown reasons people still decided to defend him.

Aug. 3, 2017 | 8:09 p.m.

He is not a scammer though, there is nothing wrong with him charging a high coaching price tbh. No one is forced to actually take coaching for him. It might not be worth it, but I mean if he doesnt like to coach and he doesnt want many students it makes sense to just have a very high price.

Also pretty big chance that he actually believes he is worth the hourly he charges. Which also obviously points to the fact that he is not a scammer.

Sounds pretty stupid that he shouldnt be allowed to advertise his products just because he is a moderator as well, he should be treated as any other member in the forums. And also its your own fault if you draw the conclusion that he is a legit coach just because he is a moderator.

However it would be interesting to see why Tom Chambers promote / co-operate with this guy, that is more questionable.

July 15, 2017 | 7:51 a.m.

@ Quido, yes I do agree with you. I'm curious how he came up with these prices, because they make little to no sense to me. I dont think anyone who isnt a proven winner at midstakes (despite playing millions of hands) should charge more than $100 / hour. And i would also recommend guys reading this post to never pay more than $100 for someone who is playing small/low/micro stakes. It is not going to be a good investment.

miami002 I agree with you 100%.

July 14, 2017 | 2:33 p.m.

I saw a screenshot of him having a negative winrate for over 1million hands iirc at microstakes fwiw. (Not entirely sure, but his results are very bad at least over a big sample)

I dont think being a good player = being a good coach, but i agree that it seems like its a bit over the top imo. Probably over priced, yes.

What do you think in general about 4betting polarized when stacks are these deep? Shouldnt his sizing be bigger if he elect to play a polarized strat.. Since you very often will 4b a "linear" range (like u will be able to defend very easily vs these kind of 4bets). Personally i prefer to either 4bet bigger or 4bet as u mentioned a more linear range because we would expect OOP to flat more and 5b less at these stack depths

I also want to jump in and say thanks to you opening up and talking about the staking in your latest vid. I'm myself a backer with many horses and i enjoyed it a lot and learned a bunch from it. It's one of these things that people dont talk enough about so 90% of people end up doing so many misstakes i would say. People underestimate how much work it is and how tricky it can be.

Your latest Q&A was extremely good!

Comment | sweet16 commented on Specifically Poker

Hey, i really think your Q&A would reach a way wider audience and be more interesting if you put out some kind of time stamps. You say a lot of good things but the spectrum is pretty wide, some questions seems more aimed to beginners.

1.30 I have no idea whats going on in the T9o top right, we are not betting turn on T 4 2 7 and we also not bet river? Dont u think u are losing heaps of value. Easy bet on the turn imo he should rarely check back a better ten otf and also even if he does we still are way ahead of his range and got bluffs

43:40 where u double barrel A7o, is this std or how do u construct your betting range here otf+ott.. What hands do you consider obvious checks otf and same ott?

May 23, 2017 | 6:53 a.m.

What do you think is the biggest difference between mtt regs and the rest of the guys you play against regularly (500z+)?

May 16, 2017 | 6:31 a.m.

Because they are from east europe and everyone are racists...

On a more serious note I'm pretty optimistic that otb crushes competition harder than a gto bot ever could so clearly he's very talented or no software in the world could make him this good I think (Without him having a very deep understanding of the game)

Llinus is a bit too crazy to be using software or anything. He has a big heart and is very talented/smart, that's all.

20:25 lulz, reasoning for letting this poor fella save 10 bucks?

Jan. 17, 2017 | 3:28 a.m.

Lol, apotheosis provided every info there is. Even his bb/100, his post was pretty much ideal tbh.

If something you should complain about cashgame coaches that only shows bb/100 or whatever, because you dont really know what games or sites they are playing.

Jan. 5, 2017 | 3:20 a.m.

By far your best video at run it once that i've seen.. Prob one of the better ones the site have released this year. What kind of filter do you use to select pots for this exercise?

Comment | sweet16 commented on Where's Teunuss??

i can only recall seeing teunuss twice at the tables the last few months (both times was within a week).. Might be a 500z video or something coming up soon. Seems like he was on some kind of vacation or just not playing much stars (which i assume he intend to do for all vids)

Dec. 2, 2016 | 12:26 p.m.

Well I mean, obv bencb789 is a good SNG player and prob a good SNG coach. I can't argue about that since he's the top winner at ss. Tbh I didnt even know they had a SNG program, I'm mainly talking about HU and 6max NL. Also if I knew they had it I would prob still assume the same. Despite all this I dont think bencb789 is good enough to get 50% of your winnings. bang bang.

Oct. 4, 2016 | 2:29 a.m.

No actually it is very productive. Joining that program is one of the biggest mistakes one can make in poker. I like RIO as a forum and I believe a lot of people here deserve help, and I'm trying to protect them from doing it. Give me one reason why I shouldnt. I litterally have no reason at all to talk shit about that program aside from that. As far as I know everyone in that program plays micro/small/low and maybe midstakes? The coaches aren't good either so it's not like BPC are going to kill poker.

Sept. 15, 2016 | 2:46 p.m.

whats your winrate on 500z this year?

Sept. 6, 2016 | 2:13 p.m.

Everyone in the program is shit.
The coaches are shit.
The deals are shit.
Everyone is a shitty bumhunter and that's how they make money (Or as someone wrote above produce results)

He's good at marketing though, because there's no way like the average person with gordons skills (or his staffs skills) would get these many applies to get coaching for profits.

In retrospect, what would you want to do with the AQcc hand on 8 4 2r? And how does your suit change your decision. To me it seems quite close between x/c, x/f and cbetting as a bluff depending on villain.
