I feel its a fold. you have utg raising with deep stack and shove from mp is def a flip. your 88 plays well if you can get to flop but reshove isnt enough ev to get utg to fold pre so as Zen said your flipping. easy fold ladder up, your spots will come!!! maybe not as pretty as you want but they are there. After bubble you gotta have mentality of winning tourney, are small ev flips gonna get you there in the long run?

Post | tomfrigginhanks posted in MTT: oppenent ranges

Errrrrrrm so i have new software (flopzilla) and its helping me put oppenents on ranges.. ive been giving most players in my stakes a 18% opening range or wider range.. am i gooing to wide ya think for my stake? i play low stake 2$ - 30$ mtts on ACR lately. i feel the 18% range works alot of time for op range. but for my 3 bet reraise im giving my opp 14% range.. is that too wide? anything will help. p.s. the reason i give such a wide range is because i play in Merca!! and im at lower stakes.

i agree with nm. shove would only be called by better. limping can encourage co btn and blinds to raise org limper, if co btn or blinds raise and limper calls you can 3bet shove expecting to only be called by better ax or higher pp,if you 3bet org raiser and limper you could keep pot big and possible multiway. buuuut with shove your losing ev on a multiway pot by squezzing out possible limpers/raisers. 88 is better playing boards multi rather than flipping with raiser/limper.

if you min raise limper (500) you caan expect bb btn to call with speculative hand allowing org limper to make the decesion of shoving (with better hand then hero 88) or to flat with broadways suited connectors.. play the board!!! not the pre on this.. too risk inclined that early in stages to be shoving mid pp with 4 left to act.. with min raise and 2 callers you can expect a 1500+ pot, allowing for FE on flop if checked to by org limper by shoving 18bb even with a Ace or King flop.
